The quality of the pasta & service were formidable. I really enjoyed my pasta. The Gnocchi al Ragu was excellent.

Ate here on our trip to New York a few years ago. The food was delicious and very authentic. It was a small venue but I honestly enjoyed that more. It had more of a cosy feeling. The staff were great and attentive, well worth the trip if you're going to New York soon.

Few vegetarian options. Menu is interesting but hard core italian. Small intimate space. Attentive staff.

I tried the fettuccine and it was absolutely delicious! I really liked the place ,cozy and welcoming. Our waitress was from Argentina and super sweet and friendly. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The food was tasty, though it leaned on the basic side. They catered well to our dietary needs, which was appreciated. However, the staff seemed grumpy and didn’t look thrilled to be there, which detracted from the overall experience. There was also a sense of being rushed out once we’d finished our meal. Still, it’s a convenient spot to grab dinner before heading to the theater.

We had dinner at Mercato for a party of 5. We were promptly shown our table at our reservation time and promptly told by what time we needed to leave, which might be a New York thing but honestly had me contemplating a response of “How about now?” The burrata starter was a glimpse of what was to come, blandness. I can’t remember having an entire dinner so under seasoned. Even the spread and bread failed to show a heartbeat with what seemed like lentils in heavily blended EVOO. The shining stars were the desserts along with our waitress who was very pleasant and jovial. Maybe it’s a dessert place in the future; but with so many stellar options in the city, Mercato’s tiramisu might not see me for a long, long time.

Work lunch with the team. It could not go any better!

Authentic flavors, the dishes are assembled in the way you would expect: right ingredients, simple and tasty.
The service was nice, and the atmosphere was cozy.

Highly recommended: Orecchiette, Fave bean puree.
I would not order the bruschetta again as it's just 2 pieces and costs more than 10 dollars (not worth it and you can easily make it at home).
Cannoli are made at order, which is how it should be when you go for Italian cuisine.

Vegetarian options: Trenette al pesto trapanese, salads

I came here with my partner for our last night of our vacation to New York and after eating out every night this was by far the worst meal we had eaten and one night we just went to shake shack. The salad I ordered was actually okay but apart from that the entire meal was shocking.
The mussels had either gone off or they just tasted that bad, we literally couldn’t wait for them to take them off the table they smelled so bad.
My porchetta was dry yet the outer was soggy, literally the complete opposite of what it is supposed to be.
The sauce the ravioli came in was extremely salty.
Please save your money and eat literally anywhere else

We, long-time couple, were greeted and seated quickly, even half an hour early for our reservation. Great service there!
The rest is all downhill.
We were sat, squished into a too tight corner where I slammed my elbow into a concrete wall about a thousand times, next to an aggressively loud party that the management let scream/talk for an hour.
Bus buy arrived within 2 minutes and provided room temperature tap water, and a bread basket with a lentil and oil dressing inside. The oil was tasty, but when we asked for butter we were told they didn't have any. Hard to believe a restaurant on Saturday night is out of butter but there you go.
Took ten minutes before a server came to see us. She was professional and took our orders promptly, which was difficult as we were screaming them over the neighboring table.
First course was bruschetta. Two crostinis topped with chopped tomatoes lazily thrown together with no real skill or care for flavor. Tomatoes were unripe and flavorless, the basil was well past its best days, but the crostinis themselves were okay. 2/5
My entree was the Rigatoni Norma con ricotta salata. The flavor was fine but the pasta itself was closer to raw than al dente. And yes, I know the difference. Pasta shouldn't snap in one's mouth. To their credit the staff, once notified, took the dish away and promptly prepared another which was also removed from the bill entirely. 3.5/5
That said, my partner's house-made spaghetti was also undercooked and the sauce was fairly basic as well. 1/5
However by that time with the atmosphere, the cramped quarters, the yelling, and the uninspired food, we were more than willing to just take the loss, pay for it and leave.
We won't be returning.

Very good authentic italian food. We had the fried calamari which was probably the best i ever had. Pasta with eggplant and the pasta with broccoli rabe.portions were a bit small and service was attentive.
