The food was tasty, though it leaned on the basic side. They catered well to our dietary needs, which was appreciated. However, the staff seemed grumpy and didn’t look thrilled to be there, which detracted from the overall experience. There was also a sense of being rushed out once we’d finished our meal. Still, it’s a convenient spot to grab dinner before heading to the theater.
We had dinner at Mercato for a party of 5. We were promptly shown our table at our reservation time and promptly told by what time we needed to leave, which might be a New York thing but honestly had me contemplating a response of “How about now?” The burrata starter was a glimpse of what was to come, blandness. I can’t remember having an entire dinner so under seasoned. Even the spread and bread failed to show a heartbeat with what seemed like lentils in heavily blended...
Work lunch with the team. It could not go any better!
Authentic flavors, the dishes are assembled in the way you would expect: right ingredients, simple and tasty.
The service was nice, and the atmosphere was cozy.
Highly recommended: Orecchiette, Fave bean puree.
I would not order the bruschetta again as it's just 2 pieces and costs more than 10 dollars (not worth it and you can easily make it at home).
