IT SHOULD BE CONSIDERED EXTORTION! EXTREMELY EXPENSIVE not only compared to grocery stores but also any other deli/minimarket in the area. It’s actually cheaper to order from a food delivery app. And with those prices you would expect at least good food, right? Sandwiches are disappointing and of course insanely overpriced

Watch out flowers were wilted so I asked for a discount, Asian man said NO! Then charged me $5over & didn’t give me the receipt! So I asked for receipt & told him YOU just charged me $5more!!!! What a horrific con artist! Go anywhere but here!!!!

Employees are incredibly rude, especially the gentleman making sandwiches upstairs. Was nasty to me. I’m a regular here, however I don’t appreciate this

Merci Market is consistent and reliable! It’s been my go to bodega for sandwiches, salads and any snacks in between for over 2 years now! Whether you want a bacon, egg and cheese and coffee at 7am or a sandwich at midnight, Merci Market has an assortment of options. Amazing flower selection too!

To whom it may concern,

I’m a regular customer and live in the neighborhood, but I had an extremely upsetting experience during my most recent visit.

After purchasing an item, I accidentally dropped some change. As I was picking it up, a tall Asian woman working at the counter—who I’ve never seen before and may be a new employee—rudely told me to “move, move” instead of simply saying “excuse me.” Her tone was aggressive and completely disrespectful.

Even the customer behind me noticed and commented that she could have spoken more kindly. Shockingly, the worker replied, “No, she doesn’t—get the hell out the way.” That kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a community-based deli where respect should be a standard.

Because of this incident, I will no longer be returning to your deli, even though I live just up the block. I would rather walk farther to places like the one on 20th and Eighth Avenue where I know I’ll be treated with basic decency.

I hope this message is taken seriously and that this type of disrespect is addressed.

They keep charging more and more for the same sandwich I get all the time ! It’s not fair ! It goes up a dollar everytime . So they seem to be charging whatever they want . Will not be coming back

This place will always remind me of first moving to New York in 2008. The smelll of the flowers. The hard to find items. The smoked salmon bagel. How could one ask for anything more?!

Dig this place for a SEC or lunch. Also a good curation of healthy, vegan snacks.
