Krissa was amazing!!!! our area was empty when we arrived, and Krissa was very attentive. THEN, the place was PACKED, and she continued to be the attentive, calm, lovely person as she was from the beginning! Hope she will be there when we come back, because we will!

I originally placed the reservation here due to the proximity of the restaurant to the Broadway show that my wife and I were going to watch. In a city full of chain restaurants or other overly expensive "bougie"/gourmet dining establishments -- The name "Mermaid" struck me as a casual and fun with a potential for embracing novelty. That thought process definitely steered me well. We arrived right at 4 pm, as the dinner shift began. The host and our server were incredibly pleasant. Although we studied the menu beforehand, we were ignorant to the fact that there was a Happy Hour from 3:30 to 5:30 pm, even more so that it includes weekends. The Chef's Choice oysters were excellent and we were faced with the difficult decision of whether to fill up with more of them or save room for entrees. We opted for the latter and both entrees were delicious. We will definitely be recommending this place to friends and hopefully will be returning in the near future.

We had a great time at happy hour. Waiter was accommodating of our boisterous group. We enjoyed the oysters and drinks.

Happy Hour is the best deal around. The food is excellent and very well priced. Our server couldn't have been nicer, more responsive, and helpful. We are fans of the oysters, fish tacos, and shrimp and avocado sliders, to name a few.

Very disappointing experience. 2 of the 3 dinners ordered were terrible...and these were dishes that we've previously ordered and have been terrific. Unfortunately, our server didn't come over to see how the food was until we were ready to leave so most of the 2 meals went uneaten.

I was disappointed that for the Times Square location didn't have the usual chocolate pudding/pot + the "fish" that I was used to getting when I used to go to the Chelsea location. It was spacious, but the noise level was so loud it was a bit challenging to hear my friends.

Some really great items, some not so much. Beautiful spot good service, easy before a show.

Amazing food and the icing on the cake was the attentive service - especially with 3 kids in tow.

Longtime New Yorker but first time eating at a Mermaid. Had pre-show dinner with a friend who is a Mermaid vet. She said she'd never seen it so quiet. We got there at 5:15pm for a 7pm Monday show at the Town Hall. Could've been it was so quiet because it was a Monday and most theaters were dark. As for the food, we had the fried artichokes (happy hour special) and they were great (huge order). I had the seared tuna (got that because of the cauliflower rice and I'm keto) and she had the linguine with clams. Both dishes were awesome. And we also split the brussels (with bacon), which were also a huge portion and were so delicious that I'm still eating the leftovers in my fridge ever so slowly because I will be so sad when they're gone. Guess I'll just have to go back.

The service was good, the cocktails were delicious, the food was inedible with how much salt they put on everything. Very disappointing.

Our server was the highlight. So nice. We had some long wait times and everything was good. Not sure we would go back unless we specifically wanted oysters. But it was good because we didn't mind the time it took.

Great pre-theater restaurant. Everything was delicious and very good value Service definitely aims to please. Highly recommend!

The food is reliably good there. And I appreciated that they knew we were eating a pre theater meal and they scheduled us accordingly. It didn't feel rushed, but they made sure we were out when we needed to be.

I ordered the clam chowder. It came in a thimble. Oysters were good.
