Ordered 2 dinners via phone to pick up, was told it would take 25 minutes. I waited over an hour while being told to wait outside because it was so crowded. I ended up leaving and had to return to collect the order, upon receiving the meal it had no flavor whatsoever.

Pretty solid Italian food, pricey but you’re in the upper east side. Many customers seemed to come because JG Melon was too busy. Pasta was tasty and al dente. Calzone was baguette style, good but heavy.

Food extremely bland snd over rated. Ordered squid ink pasta supposedly very spicy…, zero spice so was brought chilli flakes. Salad very very bland no taste at all. Very tight seating. Was brought bread while waiting for dinner mate so started on bread when maitre d came to inform me that i had to order once i started bread…. Didn’t like that i was waiting . I do not recommend this overpriced poor food restaurant. Italian food with not one Italian “chef” have a look in 4x4 kitchen

The food is always a hit, I've been many times and it's always been amazing! The space is a little tight but the food is worth it!

I stopped here for a quick lunch. They have a nice looking casual place with an actually wood burning oven. No issues with the service but the food is mediocre at best. I ordered a special and received lasagna that was going sour... Seems they use the specials to get rid of old food. The otter dish was pasta with frozen peas and some zucchini. Barely any flavor and for an impressive 32 dollars. Maybe the pizza could be ok. I will not return to find out.

Tasty Italian food, I particularly like their pastas, but a cramped atmosphere from the small floor area.

I have been coming here for 40 years always a New York City favorite a little on the cramp side, but great food great service a little pricey. And amazing pizza
And the best tiramisu I think they were the first to serve it in New York City too.

Pizza crust/dough was very tasty. Rest of the ingredients didn’t match the good dough.

The food here is consistently better than 90% of buzzy, scene-y restaurants in NYC. It’s honestly hard to want to eat pasta or pizza anywhere else. Get the linguine nere, if the lasagna is on the specials list, get that too. I dream of the simple contadita salad, and obviously the margherita pizza lives rent free in my head. Also the best tiramisu in the city. The only thing I didn’t love was the special amatriciana, but I can forgive one minor misstep. Yeah, I really love this place.

One of my kids (12y) made a so called "spezial order" for a plate of Spaghetti Carbonara. I didn t expect to get charged for 34$ for this simple italian basic meal. In the end it was the most expensive meal one the bill.I had a talk to the "manager" about this case and he rejected to lower the price, because his "boss" wouldn t allow this.So as i see it the manager is a lame duck who is unwilling to please his costumers and is just watching his employies work while can t do anything, or he is just as greedy as his boss seems to be.I don t support such behaviour.

The service is kind & attentive & the food is fresh, straightforward and extremely tasty. The focaccia starter is the perfect bed for any following dish and the tiramisu tastes like your Italian friend's home!
