Manager drunk disrespecting us all the time, gave us table at 9:30, & kicked us out by 10:05, but food had been in table for 10 minutes when he started to say, this isn’t Madrid making reference in Spain you typically would eat late. Can you leave, I wanna go home he said, and I immediately asked for the bill, two workers came up & said sorry for his behaviour making reference he was drunk, but clearly unacceptable. I still tipped 20%, ain’t the workers fault manager is so unprofessional

Ended up here bc JG Melon was cash only and an hour wait for 2. Decent Italian wine list, pasta was fresh, hot and al dente. I had Paccheri Burrata E Pomodoro, which was fantastic! Swirls of pasta and burst tomatoes on a bed of melty burrata! Hubs had Tagliatelle Alla Bolognese and enjoyed it, but I was not wowed by it. Split a creme brulee for dessert. It was solid but not special. Felt pretty authentic.

1985 Sept was my first visit, invited someone and could not pay for dinner as they were only cash unknown to me.
Embarrassing to say the least. Since then my kids grew up with this place and I still feel at ease to eat here alone when I need me time. Great branzino and better service as always.

Ordered 2 dinners via phone to pick up, was told it would take 25 minutes. I waited over an hour while being told to wait outside because it was so crowded. I ended up leaving and had to return to collect the order, upon receiving the meal it had no flavor whatsoever.

Pretty solid Italian food, pricey but you’re in the upper east side. Many customers seemed to come because JG Melon was too busy. Pasta was tasty and al dente. Calzone was baguette style, good but heavy.

Food extremely bland snd over rated. Ordered squid ink pasta supposedly very spicy…, zero spice so was brought chilli flakes. Salad very very bland no taste at all. Very tight seating. Was brought bread while waiting for dinner mate so started on bread when maitre d came to inform me that i had to order once i started bread…. Didn’t like that i was waiting . I do not recommend this overpriced poor food restaurant. Italian food with not one Italian “chef” have a look in 4x4 kitchen

The food is always a hit, I've been many times and it's always been amazing! The space is a little tight but the food is worth it!

I stopped here for a quick lunch. They have a nice looking casual place with an actually wood burning oven. No issues with the service but the food is mediocre at best. I ordered a special and received lasagna that was going sour... Seems they use the specials to get rid of old food. The otter dish was pasta with frozen peas and some zucchini. Barely any flavor and for an impressive 32 dollars. Maybe the pizza could be ok. I will not return to find out.

Tasty Italian food, I particularly like their pastas, but a cramped atmosphere from the small floor area.

I have been coming here for 40 years always a New York City favorite a little on the cramp side, but great food great service a little pricey. And amazing pizza
And the best tiramisu I think they were the first to serve it in New York City too.

Pizza crust/dough was very tasty. Rest of the ingredients didn’t match the good dough.
