Everything home made and fresh. We love the apple turnover the most!
I came here to pick up challah for Rosh Hashanah — they had multiple options (seeded, raisin, or vegan) and were responsive over the phone and in the store to navigate a busy and demanding holiday pickup time. A line was forming out the door so they’re clearly relied on and popular. It was delicious and I’ll be going back!

The banana chocolate pecan cream croissant was delicious (loved the fresh bananas) and the zataar swirl pastry was phenomenal. Excellent customer service and friendly atmosphere.

In March, I visited NYC for the first time since the 1970s. My daughter, who lives not far from your E 90th Street bakery, picked up an order the first morning and brought them home, promising they were the very best pastries and breads I'd ever eat. She was ABSOLUTELY right! I knew right away; I've searched all the bakeries in my area, and nothing comes close. It's October, and I wonder if you do mail orders in late fall and during winter. THAT'S HOW MUCH I LIKE YOUR BAKERY. A hundred stars to you as the days grow shorter.
Best Wishes,
Your biggest SW Virginia fan

This place has the most delicious (and huge) almond croissants and their pistachio cherry croissant is also outstanding. They are known for their rugelach and so we tried their chocolate one and it was delicious. They also always give our Frenchie a little treat that looks like a miniature pastry (honestly the dog treat looks good enough for a human to eat!) and the staff are super friendly. Also the coffee is delicious, as is the earl grey iced tea. 10/10 recommend coming here.

You know a bakery is good when you arrive at 4:00 p.m. and they have very little left. This small, out of the way bakery was definitely worth the trip. You can tell everything is handcrafted with love and care. David was my server, and he was charming and engaging and delightful. I got the apple croissant, a potato filled pastry, and the chocolate rugulach. All were exceptional. I will be visiting them again!

I bought chocolate babka and it wasn't as fresh. Paying almost $20 for something niot even close to 80% acceptable in freshness is not good. It is a smaller outpost n i was concerned when I saw 8 of them propped up on a shelf not in windows it wouldn't be as fresh. I was right. Won't return to the outpost. But their products are great when not left on shelf.

Was very excited to try their babka after all the rave reviews. Made a special trip to get one, and it was incredibly disappointing. It was dry as a bone - I suspect I was given one that was quite old. Overall it is like eating a 4 day old chocolate croissant.
The staff was friendly, the ice coffee was fantastic. I will stick to Zabars for chocolate babka however.
