Way overpriced sushi for what they are offering. Much prefer the happy hour specials and other items on the menu. Sakes in cans not bad.

A girl friend and I came to MINE Craft Sushi for Tuesday evening bites for their happy hour (5-6:30pm 7 days a week). I'm not sure if it was just an unpopular time, but the restaurant was quaint and quiet, which was comforting for bustling St. Marks. We ordered the sushi trio (9 pieces for $18) and mix basket of fried popcorn chicken and nori shio fries ($7). The sushi was aesthetically pleasing, cut into cute little squares, and very flavorful. It's pretty sauce/garnish heavy, and is more fusion than authentic though. Favorite was the yellowtail crunch and the spicy tuna was spicier than expected! I was pleased with the bites and wish we had a chance to try the happy hour drinks. I think this style of sushi is not my personal favorite, but I'm sure others would be very happy!

Well prepared sushi. Good fried chicken - I'd recommend one of the flavored varieties over regular seasoning. Make reservations for both the restaurant and the bar just downstairs.

This place is tucked away on St marks but the restaurant’s vibe is so nice. The food was probably more of a 4/5 for vegetarians but I would return.

What a hidden gem! Loved the square shaped sushi-definitely recommend the fantastic 4 and for the price it's hard to beat! They've also got a really great happy hour to take advantage of for sake and small bites and overall really great service, cozy vibes, and incredible and fresh sushi

Happy hour at Mine Craft is phenomenal. I came here for the meme and was pleasantly surprised to see them embrace that in some way with their block sushi and sometimes some video game music on the speaker. But in all seriousness, the happy hour deals are absolutely incredible. You have selection of 2 canned sakes, which retail at around $6, and they sell it to you for $7. They have some Shochu options, and also some beers as well. The sushi trio platter is only $18 for 9 pieces of sushi, and it's all pretty good. The only sushi I had a bit of issue with was the spicy tuna, which I think they use a chemical capsaicin, so it's way too spicy with little flavor. If they can just use an ordinary or natural spicy for the spicy mayo, I think it would be a lot better. The fries are crispy and good, the fried chicken is great as well. I really like the ambiance, and honestly think this is underrated. Somehow is pretty empty, even though it's in the prime location of St. Mark's Pl.

great ambiance, service, prices!mine was perfect for a friday night dinner! not too crowded, not too empty, beautiful interiors, very friendly service.my favorite of the night was the kinoko salad (9/10), which was a very unique flavor combo with mushrooms and feta cheese but i really enjoyed! then, we had the fried chicken; we originally ordered it without sauce but was pretty flavorless so asked for the sauce to be added (7.5/10). honestly sauce didn't add much flavor unfortunately but the fried chicken itself was super juicy. for a main, we shared the spicy 4 combo (7/10), which unfortunately had so much spicy sauce that it completely overwhelmed the taste of the sushi itself. overall, the food was a bit disappointing, but i loved everything else about the place and i still think it's worth it for the low price (for nyc) - paid around $30 each for this decently filling dinner.

Beautiful place and excellent service, but my rating is based on the food. It's quite busy and popular but I don't understand the hype. I ordered their sushi platter and the presentation is cute but it's not good. The rice was dry and didn't remind me of typical sushi rice. I think that alone unfortunately ruined the flavor quite a bit. While I realize it's part of the gimmicky appeal, I think serving the sushi as cubes could be compromising the flavor by drying out the rice. The ratio of rice to fish was also too high. I removed half of the rice because of that. I'm so sorry for a less than stellar review but hope the food gets better!

Service was great. We went on a Friday and there were a good number of empty tables. The corn pancake was my favorite. Get it if you loveSushi was okay. The rice was bit too dense so the fish to rice ratio is off. The soy sauce veryyyy salty. Visually though, looks very cool

What a great experience. Service was wonderful. Went for the valentine special so much food at a great price point. The sushi was super fresh and so wonderful. Great taste profile. There was this mushroom salad. That was amazing. They had the beef and vegetables in the hot water which was very good. But unfortunately, it filled me up before the sushi came which was really phenomenal.
