I tried the preserved egg congee and the meat they use shows this is not an authentic Chinese congee place. I also had ham and egg sandwich, and it’s pretty normal. Not worth going here again.
As prices continue to skyrocket and everyone continues to try to make ends meet, Mings Cafe is one of those places NYC is still lucky to have. I have gone to this location multiple times for my favorite fish balls and noodles dish, and I have never gotten tired of it. The owner is great, there is indoor and outdoor seating, and the best part is the super CHEAP pricing and large menu with multiple options for food, drinks, dim sum, you name it. First of all they are NOT cash only, they take venmo as well. I read a review about the tofu vegan curry noodles and ordered it. It was absolutely delicious. It’ll be my new obsession for sure. Also the beef chow mein was a little under seasoned but very fresh.
