Came here for their famous dacquoise. Items are in general small and expensive. It seems like a baking studio space which is cute.
???Sakekasu dacquoise was a must. This flavor was really unique and gorgeous. A light rice taste and texture in between, chewy and creamy.
Matcha one was good but was more common to see around.
Would like to go back for other sweets next time, brownie cookie looks good!

Need to preorder online. I love the classic flavor (sake dacquoises) the best!

I stumbled upon this hidden gem in the neighborhood and couldn’t resist going in. Although their Google hours said they closed at 3pm, they were still open when I arrived around 4pm. I ordered a strawberry Swiss roll, and the level of care the staff took was incredible. The lady carefully packed the roll, ensuring it stayed upright by adding tissue to hold it in place, along with an ice pack to keep it cool on my way home. All those little touches made a big difference. The cake itself was delicious—light, fluffy, and the strawberries were fresh and crisp. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Not your usual cafe which is its appeal. Some classic Japanese snacks mixed with patisserie items. Tried the Japanese “burrito” which was tasty: tamagoyaki, kinpira, teriyaki chicken. Very good iced coffee.

The signature sake dacquoise didn't seem to appeal to me.

Great place to start your morning if you aren't in a rush. Appreciate the time and effort put into every food. Had the tamaho sandwich and beef meat pie.

Came here for the fruit sandwiches, they were very good! At a little over $5 each I thought the price was steep for the small size, but delicious nonetheless.

Cozy, small coffee shop with pastries in lower Manhattan. Great hot chocolate! Recommended if you are going individually or perhaps with a friend. Would not recommend for large groups.

The Dacquoise is too sweet. I thought it’s good because it’s very famous but I’m very upset. It’s more like American style cookie not Japanese.
Lovely japanese cafe tucked away on Vandam. The baked treats are a delight, and in the evening they have a very good shochu and whiskey bar!

I've been here twice and it's definitely my favorite place. The food is exquisite and the staff are very kind. Usually I sit here for 20 minutes enjoying my dessert, it's such a blessing! I highly recommend dakwazi, it tastes great!
