Loved Miss Lily's!! Been coming here for years and have introduced so many other Caribbean people to this spot.. but was very very Disappointed with tonight's experience. Came all the way from Brooklyn to what I Anticipated to be an awesome time..stood in line for about 20 mins in the RAIN..its now 2:15.. and I decided to go ahead the line and find out what's happening, only to be told no one else is being let in.. they are about 1 hour from closing .. door person could simply step out and say that if it's really the case! Wasted my time and money coming here..don't think I will be revisiting.

Honestly have always had great nights at miss Lillys but tonight they literally let a lot of people stand in line without telling anyone that they weren't taking anyone else in..then the the guy at the front just laughed it off saying they were done even though they had a bunch of people still on line and refused to say anything..seems like the customer service just has gone to zero

Disappointed with Miss Lily’s 7A Café – Not Authentic Jamaican Food
I was excited to visit Miss Lily’s 7A Café after seeing it featured on the Food Channel as the #1 best place to eat Jamaican Jerk Chicken. As a Jamaican living in New York, I had high expectations for an authentic experience. My husband and I made reservations, which required a $25 deposit.
When we arrived, I ordered the pepper shrimp as my appetizer and jerk chicken as my entrée, while my husband chose the oxtail. The presentation of the food was beautiful, but unfortunately, the taste did not match the appearance. The pepper shrimp was a complete disappointment—just five shrimp drenched in an overwhelming pepper sauce with no real flavor. The highly recommended jerk chicken was grilled well but lacked seasoning, and the sauce tasted like a watered-down imitation of real jerk sauce. My husband’s oxtail was also bland and lacked the rich, slow-cooked flavor you expect from a proper Jamaican dish.
There is no way the owner(s) of this restaurant are native Jamaicans, and the cooks are definitely not Jamaican. This is not authentic Jamaican food, and it doesn’t even come close. I was extremely disappointed and will never visit again. I also won’t be recommending Miss Lily’s to family or friends. If you’re looking for real Jamaican food, this is NOT the place.

Used to be a NY staple but has lost its vigor and customer service. Just walked in and set down, besides the host which was indeed kind the bartenders was doing everything but their job. We literally sat at the bar for 10 minutes while they had conversation about absolutely nothing. They didn't say hello, pass us a glass of water, say hold.. Nothing! Will not be back.

It's the worst Caribbean food I've ever had. Maybe I'm picky since I'm from Jamaica, but there are so many better restaurants around. Everything tasted like it came from a bottle, jar, or can. But even if the food were average, I would still give it a low score because of the absurd prices. There's no reason for old rice, beans, and a small piece of chicken to cost so much. Especially when it's prepared so poorly. It's disappointing this restaurant has so much hype and represents Caribbean cuisine for so many. Please do better.

Im going to do everything in my power to let the highest level of management here knows that your staff and managers allow people to assaulted and do nothing about it. If you don’t have camera footage of what occurred 12/12/24 there’s going to be a problem

Art Department

Was assaulted here and working on getting camera footage. This place is an absolute mess. Never again.

I’ve been to the OG spot in Negril and coming to the spot in the city took me back. The whole fried porgy was amazing with the escovitch and festivels. The lo mein was pretty good but we missed the jerk pasta. The Mac and cheese is always great and the ackee hummus was divine. Happy to have this option locally.

Came to this establishment and was amaze with my experience. I ordered the jerk chicken meal, and it was delicious. Although it wasn't char grilled as I was initially expecting it to be but it good enough. I tried my wife's oxtail, and it was delicious as well, highly recommended. The ambiance of the place was very vibrant, and music selection was reggae dancehall. The music was a bit loud but maybe it's a NY thing and I'm from Jersey. Our server was pleasant and patient.

I’ve been here a few times this is the first time I’ve eaten food. Every time in the past I I either did appetizers or just drinks. I also typically visit in the evening time when there is usually a DJ. This time around I happen to pass by for Sunday brunch. The service and music was great as always, but the food miss the mark in my opinion. As a Caribbean person, I feel like the food is probably a 5 out of 10. If you’ve never had Jamaican or Caribbean food I feel like this could be 8-8.5.

I will be back, but probably just for drinks and to enjoy the music and the great service.
