I had a wonderful experience at the Mandarin Oriental Lounge in Columbus Circle. The location alone makes it worth a visit — the view overlooking Central Park is absolutely breathtaking, especially with the backdrop of New York’s high-rise buildings. It’s one of those spots where you can sit back, relax, and take in the city from a completely different perspective.
The food and drinks were excellent. I really enjoyed the bonzini and the club sandwich, both of which were prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients and presented beautifully. The cappuccino was smooth and well made, while the Earl Grey tea was brewed perfectly and made for a comforting companion to the meal. To finish, the chocolate leaves dessert was outstanding — rich, delicate, and the perfect sweet ending to the experience.
Service was just as impressive as the food and views. The staff were professional, attentive, and made the whole visit feel effortless. It’s clear they place a strong emphasis on hospitality, which really enhances the overall atmosphere.
All in all, the Mandarin Oriental Lounge combines excellent food, thoughtful service, and one of the most stunning views in Manhattan. It’s a spot I’d highly recommend whether you’re looking for a relaxed afternoon tea, a light meal, or simply a place to enjoy the city skyline.

One of the best hotels in the world. The location can hardly be surpassed. Excellent courteous service, delicate food all in high floor over Central Park.

They tried to serve me (a minor) and my dad (can’t drink alcohol due to medication) alcohol TWICE after we ordered a non alcoholic beverage. It is not like we were unclear, we were very clear that we wanted the non alcoholic Pass On beverage and he still gave us the alcoholic version twice. The alcoholic version is not even on the menu! The only good thing about this place is that the view is good and the food is reasonably good. At least the waiter accepted responsibility that he gave a 15 year old tequila!

The views are amazing and the service was good, but the sanwiches were so disappointing. The bread tasted dry and stale. The only good sandwich was the cucumber sandwich and when I asked for more of those I was told the kitchen had run out. For such an extravagently priced experience it seems it would have been fairly easy to have someone in the kitchen cut some cucumbers and put them on bread with cream cheese. It isn’t rocket science. We experienced another afternoon tea in another city which cost less and had amazing food and atmosphere. Except for the stunning views I feel that this was a waste of money. Very disappointing.

The best view of Central Park and the surrounding skyscrapers! I had visited with a friend several years back and had great memories of their wine and a delicious app we had ordered. I arrived around 3:30pm on a Wednesday as a walk in and was seated right away. I wasn't right next to the window but still had a good view. This time I was just looking for a drink to enjoy until it was time to head to the airport. They had a very extensive cocktail menu based on the elements. I ordered their Sakura season cocktail. The staff also brought out a complimentary selection of rice crackers, olives, and wasabi peas. The cocktail was a little sweet for my liking but still enjoyable. The prices are steep but you're paying for the view, so to me it's well worth it.

Had the most wonderful time at MO Lounge in Central Park! Our waiter, John, was absolutely amazing , his energy, charisma, and warm smile instantly elevated the whole experience. He went above and beyond: recommending fantastic cocktails, taking beautiful photos of us, and making sure every detail was perfect.
The food and drinks were top-notch, but honestly, John’s hospitality made it truly unforgettable. Add in the stunning views of Central Park, and you’ve got a night to remember.

Perched high above the city in the iconic Mandarin Oriental, MO Lounge is nothing short of a refined sanctuary in the sky. With what is arguably the most breathtaking panoramic view of Central Park, this sophisticated lounge invites its guests to pause and savor the grandeur of Manhattan from a truly privileged vantage point. The ambiance is timeless yet contemporary, elegantly designed to complement—not compete with—the spectacle beyond the floor-to-ceiling windows. While the experience does come with a price tag that reflects its exclusivity, discerning guests will find it well worth the splurge.

Darwyn went above and beyond. His kindness was contagious, along with his smile. Darwyn’s service was impeccable… top that off with his knowledge of the city. We are so thankful for the recommendations he offered, and will definitely be back.
If you stop by, ask for Darwyn

Our server, Nathaniel, made our evening spectacular!
I have always enjoyed visiting the Mandarin Oriental because I am guaranteed to have a nice experience, interact with wonderful people, and enjoy all of the food and drinks that are served. It is for these reasons that I sought out visiting the location in New York, I made a reservation for a sunset dinner and it was exquisite! This is on my shortlist for places to routinely visit when I am in New York City, and I hope to introduce my friends to this location as well.
