Nice views, horrible food.

Awful afternoon tea service for friend's special occasion for 15-- poor service with half the people served and the rest of table waiting another 30min for food, teas being mixed up, allergies alerted ahead of time but ignored and leaving a child to have an allergic reaction, underwhelming food. Beware of celebrating your special occasion here!

I have visited the MO lounge a few times for drinks and each time gets better than the last. This weekend I brought my mom who was visiting me in nyc. The views alone are worth a stop, but it was really the exceptional food/drinks, and service that make this place over the top.
We ordered the fois gras, club sandwich, and had some incredible desserts and champagne!
Everyone was incredibly kind, from the door man to the hostess but Pierre especially made our time extra special!
Can’t wait to return and try the full afternoon tea!

I chose something I'm not familiar with but was very surprised. Poor service everything else was very nice and the view was outstanding.

Terrific service as usual, what you’d expect from MOHG. A single waiter for our table of 12 who was extremely attentive & didn’t miss a beat, kudos!
The food is always delicious, the sandwiches were outstanding but the scones with rose preserve was out of this world!

For the price ($130pp), the afternoon tea probably was not worth it. All the desserts were extremely sweet and the bread on the finger sandwiches were somewhat try.
Good service and good experience overall but would not do it again.
Get there early for the first seating to get a table by the window

Our first time for Thanksgiving. The selection of food was good and the quality of the food was great. However, the service was sub par at best. We were seated for the buffet and no one came to our table for water or anything. We eventually made it to the buffet and came back and they gave away our table. Luckily another table was available. They tried to accommodate for that mistake but after that initial glimpse of service we didn't get anything until a shift change and our server came in at the end. No real drink orders, water was delayed at best, and the buffet was understaffed. Mistakes happen but then go above and beyond until that customer leaves. Very disappointing service for the price. I've had better service at Applebee's. Food was good though, definitely only redeeming factor.

We had an unforgettably beautiful evening at the MO Lounge. For this, we would like to thank the manager Jules and his team for the very excellent service and very delicious food. We can truly recommend this lounge to everyone. On our next NYC trip, we will definitely come back!
Thank you very much and best regards from Germany, Frankfurt.

First of all, the space and the view are absolutely amazing. However, everything else was subpar. Our server was barely present and not engaged at all. He was so unengaged that he spoke in a barely audible voice and I had to ask him to repeat everything he said multiple times. He was also difficult to find whenever we needed him. In addition, when trying to order ice cream and sorbet for our dessert, he even lacked the communication skills to convey they choices. It became so frustrating that I simply gave up and chose not to order any dessert. Who knew that ice cream could be so complicated?
The food was average at best. My wife and I were very curious to check out the Chinese themed menu as she is originally from China and we love eating various types of Chinese cuisine from all over the country, especially Sichuan and Shaanxi cuisine. Unfortunately, the food at MO Lounge is incredibly overpriced for what it is, and in our experience, far superior food can be found in any basement food court in Flushing for a third of the price.
When it was time for the check, it was impossible to flag down our server. I even tried waving to another server to get their attention, only to be ignored. I was only able to get our check once I walked up to the hostess stand to request it. The service was so poor that I had already resolved to tip only 15% and was surprised to see an 18% automatic gratuity added to the bill. Given the poor service quality, I found this offensive, but relented and paid it anyway rather than making a fuss over 3%.
What was particularly offensive was charging these outrageous prices for food that is mediocre at best. If I'm going to pay such prices for Chinese cuisine, I expect it to be far superior to what I can make at home or find in a basement food court in Flushing. There are plenty of other places where I can dine on far superior food with just as good of a view and for less money. Next time, I'll save my money and choose someplace else.

Food was sub par. Hostess and service were aloof and lacking. Disappointing for a Mandarin property.

The evening was pleasant, but it did not fully meet my expectations, especially given the prices charged, which give hope for very high quality service and welcome.
The table service lacked presence and responsiveness. We had to wait an interminable amount of time, especially to get the bill, due to not making eye contact with an available waiter.
The dishes, although tasty and beautifully presented, lacked one essential detail: the bread. The absence of this basic support is surprising, especially in an establishment that positions itself as almost a palace.
The place benefits from a remarkable location with a splendid view, but the general atmosphere remains elegant while lacking warmth. The experience could have been enriched by a discreet musical atmosphere, like a pianist, instead of the agitation visible behind the glass bar, where the staff seemed in full rush, busy putting away the dishes.
This setting failed to create a true feeling of luxury or a unique, warm and welcoming moment. For an establishment that aspires to a high-end experience, it is disappointing to note a blatant lack of friendliness and attention to detail in the reception. If you are looking for service marked by a lack of smiles and authenticity, this place could be suitable, but for an unforgettable and refined experience, other addresses may be worth considering.

ONLY for hotel Quest by 12:30 p.m., its breakfast time.
We booked to eat here one evening. Having been customers in several other MOs on other continents, we knew very quickly that we were going to be disappointed here. Haughty and austere atmosphere, slightly dated design, basic cuisine. We also saw the waiters collecting glasses with plastic bins towards the bar...it doesn't look very palace, but more of a local snack bar. Anyway, before the evening became a total disappointment, we booked elsewhere during our aperitif and starter to end the evening less sadly.
Go somewhere else in New York... For me, this is just a bar in a random hotel...
