The best gluten free bagel I’ve ever had hands down! Whenever I’m in nyc I have to come here to get one. They also have a variety of the baked goods (with some that change each month) and everything I’ve tried is also delicious. Most recently had the glazed donut which was super fluffy, yeasty, and perfectly sweet. Another favorite is the cinnamon bun and linzer cookie. Had to come back to get more bagels to take home before I left !

Holy Mother of Bagels - I ordered the everything bagel toasted with butter with ubereats. The reviews are accurate, I checked twice to make sure that the bagel was gluten free. These are phenomenal, chewy and light. 100% a must stop if you are gluten free/celiac and want a bagel. Note there isn't a photo, because it was too good to stop for a photo.Dietary restrictions: Gluten Free

I would rate this a 4.5 but since it’s not possible on google and I feel a 4 is too low I gave it a 5. Great for anyone with celiac like my mother in law. The service could be a little better as no one is cleaning tables during the morning they just leave out table wipes for you and we ordered a few things including a breakfast sandwich with egg which wasn’t on the receipt they gave my wife, after waiting a while I went and ordered another one since it wasn’t on the receipt from the same cashier as the first time. He took my order without saying anything. A few minutes later they put two egg sandwiches and on the counter, so we did indeed pay for two sandwiches when we only needed one. I wish the cashier would have said he did put in the original order when I ordered the same thing the second time.

Love this place. Entirely gluten free (coeliac heaven) but you wouldn’t know it! Everything tastes amazing. We went back multiple times on our travels. Bagels were incredible, my boyfriend said it was better than the non-gluten free bagel he’d had the day before. Donuts were amazing as was the grilled cheese breakfast sandwich!
Both times in the past week the same service workers at 14th street would cause longer waits by not interacting with customers and just chat to themselves, even when right in front of them at the register.I ordered a drip coffee to go and asked for a splash of oat milk and they charged 50c extra, they literally showed me how little a dash was—it was bizarre and the whole experience was awkward. For a business that specializes in dietary requirements, added a charge for a nondairy milk, at a dash, is frankly ridiculous.I love the bagels here and already find buying gluten free products come at an extra cost and a rarity. The service at 14th st. makes me not want to come back to the store. Reading these reviews nothing seems to be done to train staff to carry out tolerable, basic customer experience.

I can’t say enough about this place. I am celiac I traveled all the way from San Diego, CA just to taste and experience Modern Bread and Bagel. I flew home with a dozen of their super-seed bagels in an airtight bag. Thank you soooomuch for providing me with the best bagel experience a GF girl could have!!! Everyone was super nice too. Employees Emma and Matt are gems.

I came with my friend who has a cane and while it was very packed, we were able to maneuver and disnt have to wait long for our food. We waited about 10 minutes for a seat. As someone who loves carbs, I was pleasantly surprised to know that this was gluten free and so freaking delicious.Dietary restrictions: Multiple options for my friend with celiac. (Gluten free.)
This is THE place to go for GF in NYC!
