They have a very rude cashier, an Asian male. When I went to pick up my food and showed him my order confirmation, he kept looking elsewhere and ignored me. I thought he didn’t need to see it, so I was about to leave, but then he called me back and asked to see the order. Even after that, he didn’t tell his colleague to give me my food—it was only when his colleague noticed me standing there that they realized I was there to pick up an order and handed me the meal, which had clearly been ready for a while. I can’t imagine how someone so unprofessional, lazy, and disrespectful even got hired. If doing the bare minimum and being rude is all he’s capable of, he shouldn’t be anywhere near a customer-facing job. Absolute disgrace of a cashier.

Descent korean food, but not anything special. Small portions and really not mouch protein in them.
As a tourist and big fan of Ester Choi:s cooking was this a disapointment.

Stopped at the Hugh again to have a coffee and read the paper. At lunch we went to MOKBAR for Korean food. We got one bulgogi bowl and one cutlet curry bowl. Also got a side of kimchi. All very tasty over special rice. Rather small cutlet but enough for lunch. Prices are reasonable.

Ordered a bibimbap with purple rice and pork belly and a strawberry yuzu homemade iced tea on 03/06/2025 12:29pm. Later at night I got chills, dehydration, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and sweating…..it was bad…..I think this might be food poisoning. If you ordered stuff from this restaurant on 03/06/2025 and experience the similar symptoms, go file food poisoning complaint via NYC311.
Love the food, but very disappointed that you switched to plastic food bowls from the compostable ones, going in the wrong direction.
I ordered a bulgogi bowl to go and it was tasty with the right combination of different taste and textures. I will go back to try other dishes
This is my favorite go to meal at the Hugh! The vegan tofu bibimbap is so fresh and delicious. Servers are nice too
Delicious and a smooth pickup!
The worst kimchi jigae I’ve had in my life…soup was way too salty. Not authentic at all. Ordered for takeout but I ended up cooking my own food.

Had such an incredible experience here today! Been wanting to try it for awhile and so happy we finally did. The staff took such good care of us our entire time there and were lovely to talk with. The food was unworldly it was so good!
Our personal favorites food wise - hocakes, bulgogi bao, and the chicken katsu bowl!
11/10 we will definitely back. Thank you again to the wonderful crew that was there tonight!

The best katsu curry around. Reasonably priced, great food. The High itself is also a nice upgrade from what was here before.

We had a drink at their cocktail bar (O bar), Grant made us the best espresso martini we drank in our trip to the US.
