After a long 6 hour flight, the only thing that my friend and I wanted was to fill our bellies with lots of carbs. Per a local's recommendation, we decided to stop by Momofuku Nishi for our first meal in the Big Apple. We came on a Sunday night and all the tables were filled. Went with friends and service was awesome. It's a cozy atmosphere. Great wine options and our server was so helpful in helping us order. We started with the oysters, hiramasa, yellow tail, and some kind of porridge rice dish. The oysters sounded fancy on paper but it really wasn't. Just shucked oyster with different toppings and it didn't stand out to us. The same was for the hiramasa. We all liked the yellowtail dish. It was fresh, acidic, and fruity. What kind of restaurant is this? Its Momofuku! By definition it's a a bunch of talented guys and gals in a kitchen making magic, and in this location it's Italian & Asian influenced magic. This intimate space proves you only need exceptional food & excellent service to provide a memorable dinning experience.
