One of the most forgettable, overpriced sushi restaurants I've ever eaten at. The miso cod was rubbery and flavorless, the sushi didn't taste fresh and was overpriced for the size of cuts, and the appetizer portions were so small. For $160 I could have gone and gotten omakase that would have been 10 times better.
Great Shabu Shabu with lots of fresh beef and vegetables. Would recommend it for those looking for a nice quiet place for good Japanese food.
It is the best sukiyaki place in nyc. The food is really authentic and delicious. It felt like I was in Japan. Worth to visit!
I dined at Momokawa on the Upper East Side, opting for their $180 per person omakase, a price point that's standard for this area. Unfortunately, the experience fell far short of expectations. The fish, served lukewarm, lacked the vibrant freshness and bright flavors one expects from high-quality sushi. Each piece felt underwhelming, with the flavors simply not delivering. Compounding the disappointment was the service, which was inattentive and unprofessional. At this price, I anticipated a far higher standard of both food and service. Regrettably, Momokawa did not meet the mark, and I wouldn't recommend it for a premium omakase experience.
Great cost performance, amazing staff, delicious food!!! Now our go-to shabu shabu place!

The sukiyaki was truly delicious, and even though it was a bit expensive, it was definitely worth it for such an enjoyable meal.

The beef was delicious, but the restaurant was extremely hot because the air conditioner was weak. There was only one server, and the restaurant was full.
Small but very tastefully appointed sushi and shabu shabu restaurant. Vibe is relaxed and sophisticated. I didn’t love the happy hour oysters, from Long Island but sort of devoid of flavor. But my Naruto Roll was one of the best bites of sushi I’ve ever had. Great little find on the UES!

Excellent service and food. The beef Sukiyaki was particularly tasty. We also enjoyed the Japanese Yam. The portions for the entrees were very generous and I would definitely go back again!
Decent Japanese food, no surprises, reasonable design and price

Very cute lowkey spot! Food was really good for its price and the service was really good. The waiter was attentive and helped us with the sukiyaki shabu shabu. Will definitely come back!
Outstanding food and service! The dishes were prepared with skill and care. The service was delivered with care and attention to the smallest details that made for such a great experience overall. Highly recommend.
Absolutely LOVE this place. The food is consistently amazing, and since you walk into the restaurant you know it's going to be good, just by looking at the crowd!
As a regular at this eatery. I experienced one of the worst evenings as a customer. Friday evening, 630pm, I'm at my usual table with my usual group. The table to my left insist that I should lower my voice. When I reported this to management, I was told that they had already filed a complaint about me. I believe management should have stepped in and addressed the situation. Anyway, I'm not angry at management; I'm just expressing my disappointment with how the evening turned out. The food is good. It's comfort food. But at the moment, I'm not sure if I'll return.
The reception guy isn't very friendly and told us there is not spot but we see there is spot on OpenTable and booked it immediately
