Food was good, but nothing mind-blowing. The yuzu ricotta soufflé pancake was what I was most excited for but it actually tasted pretty subpar, in that the batter itself was a lot harder than expected. Was looking for something a little more softer but it was served rather chewy and got progressively harder as time passed. Our server was barely there, and showed up a total of maybe two times throughout. She looked like she was in an incredible rush despite dining towards the later hours of lunch. All in all it was an okay experience

If you feel like weekend brunch and Japanese food at the same time, @momoyasoho is conveniently in Soho and has nice vibes with very high ceilings! Both the sashimi set and the seafood bowl are yummy and not bad for NYC prices. Better than many others I’ve been to!One down side was that it wasn’t that comfortable sitting at the bar because people keep running into our chairs, and also the servers used our table space to set their food before serving which felt weird.

Nice place, we had sushi brunch with the dessert pancakes and matcha French toast. The sushi was amazing. But you do have to wait awhile for the pancakes. They don't serve coffee but they have green tea. Really cute area.Wheelchair accessibility: They have a wheelchair restroom on the left.

The service was good, atmosphere was nice. There was a small piece of plastic wrap on my tuna chirashi. Other than that, Momoya box was fine. Not really good, but not bad. The famous seasonal parfait was really pretty, but the taste was not really that beautiful. I heard that Momoya uws is kind of famous, so I’m curious how this place got famous. I don’t really think I would come back here again.

Grabbed lunch at this spot the other day.• I'm digging the design and vibe they've got going on in there.• The food itself was also on point. It's a great option for when you need to get a quality meal in without spending too much time.• They've got lunch specials on the menu too which is clutch.• All around, the quality level is solid for a fast lunch situation.

It’s taken me too long to finally write this. Me and my girlfriend came to Momoya for dinner a few weeks ago and had the single best dinner of our lives. We haven’t stopped talking about it. The atmosphere, the service and OMG the fooooood! We had the duck, A5, some assorted nigiri and most importantly the black miso cod! We cannot wait to go back!

All dishes are fresh and of good quality. My favourite dish is the miso black cod. I would gave 5 star if the price tags weren't that high. We ordered $231 worth of food for 2 people at dinner time (at menu price, excluding tips) and both of us feel that the quantity of the food we ordered are not enough for 2 people.

We enjoyed a lovely brunch outside; the interior decor was also very cute. I ordered the sukiyaki set with side of salad, and my partner ordered the sushi/sashimi set with a side of miso. We also ordered the soufflé pancakes and the matcha French toast to share. I really liked how they used shirataki noodles for the sukiyaki set. Flavors were great, but thought the sukiyaki was a bit salty - so I ended up eating more rice to balance it out. The beef and veggies in the sukiyaki were all great - definitely a one person portion size, and it already comes with miso soup too.My partner thought the sushi set was okay, didn’t really stand out for him.Yuzu soufflé pancakes - these are a bit different than the Japanese soufflé pancakes you might be used to seeing or had before - these are a bit harder and more like sponge cakes rather than soufflé pancakes. But we still enjoyed them and the yuzu flavor was yum.Matcha French toast - I really like this one, but definitely more of a dessert dish. It has sweet red beans, matcha cream that flows when you cut through it, my partner thought the toast was a bit hard on the outside.Service - fantastic and attentive service! Super nice waiter and servers that gave us honest recommendations and timing of the dishes, cleared our plates quickly and were really so nice! Kudos to the team!We were also running 20 min behind our reservation - the restaurant was very understanding and were able to accommodate us.

cozy, chic, and comfortable. Omakase at the sushi counter was a delight. The hand-picked fish and preparations by the Master chef is top-notch.

1. The fish was not fresh. Ika was stale.2. The uni and ikura piece was not great together. The saltiness of the abundance of ikura overwhelmed the umami flavor of the uni.3. The service was terrible. When we expressed we weren’t satisfied with our omakase, she walked away.4. When making the reservation, my profile listed the allergies: peanuts, and tree nuts. Before the dessert was brought out, I purposefully inquired what the dessert was. The waitress, Catherin, said it was a melon ice cream with a cookie crumble. When I ate the dessert, I started feeling an allergic reaction. My cheeks and upper right lip became tender. My chest became tighter and my throat became tickled. When the waitress, Catherine, came by and asked how were we doing, before I got the chance to respond, she walked away. My husband had to call her over to inquire what was in it.When she came she stated that it’s a cookie crumble and the fruit was honey dew. When we asked what was in the crumble, and stated that I had an allergy towards tree nuts. She confidently said that people who are allergic to nuts can eat this. I reiterated that I’m allergic to tree nuts. And clarified that some cookies use nuts. (Speaking for experience after eating a cookie)I was expressing that I was having an allergic reaction. She asked if I had medicine and I replied no. She did not ask what she could do. She went downstairs to confirm what was in the dessert. When she came up she said the cookie crumble was made from almond flour. I informed her that almond is considered a tree nut.She proceeded to go downstairs to grab her manager. At that point, I asked my husband to go out and grab a Benadryl. My husband came back before the manager reached the top of the stairs. The manager asked what had happened and I explained that the almond flour in the cookie crumble triggered my allergies. He and the staff were apologetic and we asked for a written confirmation for the ingredients in the dessert. At first, it didn’t appear that he understood us. Our friend who was also Japanese, proceeded to translate our needs in Japanese.5. It was even my friend’s birthday!Worst experience ever!

Great overall spot!! We made a 5:30 rest for a family of 5. Kids ages are 7, 5 and 6 months. They sat us at a private round table upstairs which we thought was thoughtful and appropriate for our table. it kept the vibe of the restaurant with its vibe while allowing our kids to be kids in the trendy environment. It is lovely. Momoya sushi box is a must!! beautiful displays of food and the parfaits are just gorgeous. a work of art! Just make sure to order one when you get there because they make a limited amount for the night. We came at 5:30pm and ordered it then and by the time we ate our dinner and ordered desserts they already sold out for the night. I say it is more for the art and beauty then for the best tasting dessert but it wasn't bad. Just think the presentation of the dessert beat out the remembrance of the taste of it.

Service was very nice and on top of their game/knowledge from both kitchen staff and floor staff. Food quality was not good, over priced for its quality and taste…not worth the price (based on different experiences I have had).
