I never write bad reviews so this will be a first but very warranted.
I have ordered from this restaurant numerous times and every time there is always something wrong with the order - they either forget something or they run out of an option that’s clearly listed on UberEats and I get upcharged for it but don’t get notified that they ran out of this option.
Today, I ordered their Go Caesar wrap that they quite literally advertise on their UE app and something I’ve ordered 10x times with no issue. We get home after picking up our order only to find out that they put in someone else’s sandwich instead of the wrap. I call and the lady answering the phone is gaslighting me telling me they don’t have a wrap like that, asking me questions about the other items in my order after I very clearly told her the issue was with my wrap. She goes on hold to get someone from the kitchen bc she said they don’t have grilled chicken Caesar wraps, only Caesar salads (?????) When she gets back on the phone, instead of apologizing for the mistaken order she’s commanding me to come back to the restaurant and bring the sandwich back. I’m sorry what? How about an apology for the mistaken order and actually knowing the items on your menu instead of gaslighting your customers that have been loyal to you time and time again despite mistaken orders in the past.
Safe to say, I will not be coming back here again. I’ll take my business elsewhere where the service people are respectful and know not to gaslight their customers.

This morning I ordered an omelet at this place. There was an option to either pick a ready-made dish or build your own from selected ingredients. First of all, when they brought me the food, it had an ingredient I never asked for, I don’t like potato — and it wasn’t even listed on my receipt. I guess the cook just decided it would be tastier that way. But what the hell is the point of asking me to choose ingredients if you’re just gonna ignore them? Makes no sense.
Second — I ordered a dish with a fixed price that’s clearly shown on the menu. But when I got the check, the total was about $3 more. That might not be a lot, but it’s super annoying when they treat you like an idiot and claim the price is higher. I’m attaching a photo of the menu — go ahead and tell me if there’s any mention of an extra charge for steps two or three.

1st im from Chicago, came to New York to see the chicago cubs play the Yanks!. A friend that lives in New York took us there it was her 1st time there also but she said this place had great review on TikTok and other social media platforms so we went to see for ourselves. The Cubana Sandwich was very good and great flavor and hot of the press. The Philly steak was a little on the salty side but maybe it was my taste buds, or the cheese, it was still good. My sons friend had a spicy chicken sandwich he said it was very good and flavorful. My sons girlfriend had a non spicy chicken sandwich and she it was also good.
We loved everything that we ordered. Definitely worth the hype from social media.

Ordered an s2 steak sandwich with chimichurri, butter lettuce, tomato on a soft roll. Steak was delicious. Butter lettuce was romaine not butter. Chimichurri was good. Roll was not soft. It was toasted and pretty much fell apart. In NYC your bread needs to be better. Put that on a seeded Italian sub roll and then your talking. Ill give them another chance but order on sub roll or not toasted. I got the feeling they toasted because the roll was yesterday's. I was eating lunch at 11:30am before the rush. $22 with a water and a roll sandwich not a sub is not cheap but its NY prices. Give me better bread please.

Montagu’s Gusto is my go to restaurant from now on! The ambience felt great from the moment I walked into the restaurant, to the moment I got my food. I ordered the Focaccia special, and it was insanely delicious! It was jam packed with many flavors, and the focaccia bread was a delightful touch. I would definitely recommend this place anyone considering coming to this establishment, because trust me, it’s definitely worth it.

Good place with good service 10/10
The steak sandwich doesn’t come close to the videos on Facebook etc! Half the meat, and literally 1 slice of tomato, plus the cashier girl said the other toppings might be free but then she charged for jalapeños and pickles only to get 1-2 slices of each for the extra 1$! Ridiculous! 100% not worth the $ and time! Sorry!

Strange thing occurred. Ordered a sandwich at 5:21. Picked it up and when i got home, i saw on the receipt someone else’s name and phone number. Same sandwich but this person ordered theirs 10 minutes before at 5:12 meaning that they gave me a sandwich that was sitting around for an extra 10 minutes. Who wants a cold sandwich?
No idea how someone posted highly about this place. Roast beef was like “biting into street salts” per my bf. And the grilled chicken with broccoli rabe was just a mess of oil and you couldn’t even bite through it without ripping out all the broccoli. Yuck. Terrible quality. Embarrassing that NYC can’t even make a decent sandwich :(
The sandwiches are good but their prices just feel like a rip off.
$20 for a sandwich?!? Are you serious? There are MANY better options for a portion of the price. For instance antico all’ vinaio offers similarly priced sandwiches but you know what you’re paying for.
I’ve been a regular customer a few years ago and then they decided to bump up the prices and I decided it wasn’t worth it anymore. they should seriously ask themselves if they’re not out of touch…
