Typical diner food fair to moderate pricing. Place is tiny and only one waiter running around like a headless chicken ....makes for a stressed out environment . Had a family of 8 with screaming children ruin the entire place since it so small...meh in a pinch maybe....

We did a small takeout order. There was a man working the front that took our order. We ordered two drinks and a sandwich and that was $30. So pricing was on the higher side. We ordered the turkey sandwich to split and the plain sandwich was $13.00 with $2.50 to add lettuce; no other ingredients. I will say the meat was very fresh and delicious (wish I would have known to ask for mayo). My daughter stole my hot chocolate because it was "the best she ever had."

If pricing was a bit more reasonable for the food, I would recommend this place in a heartbeat. It met our needs at the time and the items we ordered were quality.

Stayed at Hotel57 and ate here every morning because it was authentic, tasted very good, was good value for money and you could sit well. Apart from that, we felt very comfortable with the great, friendly and warm people who work there. My son was given a small piece of fruit every morning. Thanks for everything and all the best! Kind regards from Germany

1 star but If I could put zero, I would. The Cashier is so rude. bad experience from this place.Do not recommend. The people do not have good service and the food is not good. Would not recommend.

Born and raised in NYC and have never met a diner that refused to serve pickles & coleslaw with a burger deluxe or tuna salad sandwich.

$9.00 Tuna salad sandwich was dry and tasted like vinegar ....

I have been coming here for years until today - there is usually only one waiter so when it gets busy (12-230pm) it gets tough to be in & out on time. I’ve had a lot of different options off the menu from breakfast-lunch-dinner and I always enjoyed the soup until I had what looked like a fruit fly in my bowl today. I wouldn’t have mentioned it if my next order wasn’t messed up as well. I am allergic to tomatoes so I specifically asked for a Buffalo Chicken sandwich with NO TOMATOES - I read on the menu it comes with that so I’m not sure why people in the food industry wouldn’t take people’s allergies serious enough. I did not have enough time to wait for another dish (I knew after the fly incident what to expect) so I had to pick apart my sandwich and only eat the chicken that hopefully had not touched the tomatoes. $22 for this was not worth it. & sad to say I will not be visiting this place again.

I stopped in quickly and only left with a piece of carrot cake. It was delish and lasted 3 separate servings. I was traveling from Long Island, and trying to find the Bronx Zoo. They were very sweet. The place was very homey, and if I lived in the neighborhood, I'm sure I'd frequent for a nice meal and coffee with a friend ?.
