Morandi is very rustic in appearance. It is a warren of rooms with exposed brick walls. Conversation is animated. Decibel level is fairly high. The lighting is subdued but not dim. We showed up early for our reservation & enjoyed a pre-dinner beer in the bar. The menu is quite extensive. Lots of traditional Italian dishes + other creative options. We opted for potato croquettes, linguine with clams & the tortelloni. All pleasant & satisfying. I don't think their aim is to knock your socks off with new flavours. This is fairly traditional Italian cooking. We enjoyed a bottle of white Sicilian with our meal & a couple glasses of Moscato D'Asti to finish. Service throughout was efficient & accommodating. Orellana guided us in our menu selections.

Morandi has excellent food, but what makes it standout is the excellent service. Of all the restaurants we've dined in, Morandi's staff and service is an among the best. It's a pleasure to be here. Never rushed. Always professional. And, the food is great. We've been here many times over the past year. Dinner for two is typically $140. Lots of outside seating.

Having read about the restaurant in Keith McNally‘s book, we were anxious to try it. It certainly checked every box. Wonderful vibe, great food, superduper service, and fantastic location. Highly recommend.

Dined here with wife and friend. Completely enjoyed it. The food was good and reasonably priced for a nice restaurant in the West Village. The service was excellent, attentive and professional. Great location a few blocks from the subway.

GF options lacking a bit, but grilled octopus was delicious. Pasta Peperoncino Calabrese and branzino fish were excellent. William our server was very good.
