If you work in the LES area, this is a wonderful option for lunch, always quick if you choose to sit down, wonderful wait staff and chefs. I have personally tried all of their Special Rolls and wouldn't say no to any of them. I recently had the Sushi Tiramisu from their Appetizer menu and it was out of this world delicious, only complaint is that I ate it too fast and wanted to order 3 more plates

The Miso soup was good, the Spider roll was fantastic, the Pork Dumplings and Salmon Sushi by Piece was ok. For all the food and the drinks $33 All you can eat, can't be beat.

This restaurant is on its last legs. It once had a great staff and made terrific food, even during the pandemic! I stopped by today for the beef teriyaki lunch special, I wanted the beef to be done to medium my side was sashimi. The soup and salad were fine, hard to ruin. The bento box came and the waitress knew it was bad before she placed it in front of me. Normally the beef is sliced and placed to look like a single piece of steak with a little separation, not my plate of food! it looked like a bad stir fry and every piece of meat looked like they came from different cows and every piece was so over cooked, my leather boots looked softer! Was the kitchen really busy, you ask me? Only one other person entered after me and he order the 3 roll sushi special! I mentioned to the waitress I ordered my meat to be cooked medium and she blamed a busy kitchen! I told her I would reluctantly eat it because I didn't want to wait longer for another piece to be cooked and she seemed pleased. But as I tried to eat, I also tried to assemble the meat as one piece and couldn't! I called her over and asked if it was leftovers, ( that would explain why it was dry, over cooked and tasteless) , she swore it was made to order even though it was overcooked! Sashimi was my side and it must have been a new rookie because each slice of fish was thick enough to be 2 slices, that was a loss for the restaurant but good for me!. A refill of tea didn'tarrive until the check came and as she took away the bento box, I showed the waitress that the pieces of meat weren't from the same steak, the thickness and widths of the pieces I left in the box were all different! She was annoyed I noticed but she said nothing.I can never recommend Mottsu ever again to anyone.

The food was really bland and the sushi tasted old? I’m not sure what it supposed to taste like but it missed the mark.

The food is absolutely dreadful. Very bad quality sushi rolls and nigiri. Good pork gyoza though. I won't recommend it.

Amazing! Highly highly recommend Mottsu. It is such a great hole in the wall. I order takeout from here a lot but saw they had a new all you can eat special ($33) and I wanted to check it out. Hands down the best AYCE sushi in the city. Each roll is made with such care - you can see the chef at the bar making each roll with such precision. If you come, get the Soho roll it’s one of my favorite bites of sushi ever. Don’t come in expecting a super fancy ambiance; come for a filling meal with great food and great service. If you are looking for an all you can eat place in the city this is your spot.

Nice tiny restaurant. No bathroom, little windows what’s probably normal for NYC. Good was nice and very nice stuff.

Tiny eatery, more like a dive, but we got put off by the smell of garbage wafting in from next door. Sushi was also average and the soy sauce was not up to scratch.
