Mr. Purple is a very nice and spacious rooftop restaurant and bar. I love the fact that they have a pool which was nice. My friend and I enjoyed ourselves at an event we attended here. I would definitely come back again.

The pool was closed at night. DJ was cool. It’s a diverse young crowd. I wanted to swim and see the empire tower.

As a first timer I was highly upset with the service i received, I was charged double on my tab and didn't get my issues resolved, it really gave scammed . My food also came out before my drinks and they also forgot to service me my food which I had to ask for , once realizing they forgot it . Server was nice just the horrible service .

Great rooftop with city views and fun vibes. The pool makes it extra special — ideal for summer days. A top spot to enjoy NYC from above. 🥂🏊♀️
Best rooftop view in Manhattan. It would be an excellent place to chill out except that it is absolutely deafening. It's one of those places where, even on a sparsely populated Thursday evening, the DJ is blasting, tooth-rattling club music despite no one is dancing. In fact there were about 12 people total in small groups screaming into one another's ears in an attempt to have a conversation. And there is no escape as the entire roof is covered with at least 50 strategically placed loudspeakers ensuring you will not be able to hear anything else but the DJ. We wanted to stay for the view but we also wanted to talk... so we had to leave after only one drink.

Drink prices are insane Very over priced! Loved the views, thats about it.
I love to party here - it was my favourite socializing place on Friday and Saturday nights at NYC.

Stumbled upon this rooftop bar while exploring East Village / Lower East Side. Great music, well-priced drinks, friendly bar staff - so glad I popped in!

was super excited to visit Mr. Purple! My married friends came up from Philly so it was the three of us out and about! We were chatting in line and getting our IDs out because the line was moving. Until MIKE got to us. He singled my friend out and wouldn’t let us in because he saw her finding her ID in her purse. This pic is “Mike” keep one eye on him at all times. He’s extremely moody! No way to know if you’re going to get in or not. I’m still also wondering why he has a purple phone case.

Perched atop the Hotel Indigo on the Lower East Side, Mr. Purple stands as one of New York City’s most stylish rooftop bars and nightlife destinations. The design is sleek and industrial-chic, with reclaimed wood, metal finishes, and loft-inspired décor that perfectly complements its downtown edge. Guests are immediately drawn to the sweeping skyline views, which stretch from Midtown’s iconic towers to the bridges over the East River, making it a quintessential spot for sunset cocktails. The venue features both intimate terraces and a lively main space, including a poolside deck that elevates its exclusivity. Music is curated through dynamic DJ sets, striking a balance between lounge sophistication and high-energy rhythms as the night progresses. Cocktails are crafted with precision, with signatures such as the bottled Moscow Mule and the tequila-based Mr. Purple being consistent favorites.

Very nice place to watch the skyline and sunset. Kind of expensive, but guess it’s NY standard price.

Mr Purple in one sentence: A rooftop with a fairly nice view of Manhattan, so-so drinks and very rude staff. I went for a corporate event and when I arrived, I was immediately told that there was a private event going on - to which I responded, yes, I know because I am a part of that event. No apologies from that staff member. Then, the bag check refused to take my luggage claiming that it was too full and suggested I leave it outside. No, I'm not going to leave my valuables outside. I had to basically convince him to do his job, to which he then started to hound me for a tip. Not once, not twice, but three times. Just overall desperate, greedy and rude behavior from the staff. So sad. I won't be back.

staff was EXTREMELY rude. you couldn’t even fix your hair in the bathroom without being yelled at. music was lame, place was basically empty and we paid $30 to get in. views of the city were beautiful but everything else was not a vibe. dont waste your time
$300 cancellation fee because we were never told that there was a minimum spend limit of $750 when we went. Staff was incredibly rude - physically pushing member of our group in order to move chairs around when there was plenty of room on the other side of us. We will be calling for a refund and will never recommend this place to anyone.
