We were in town for just under a week and discovered MUD on Day 1. Lucky us. Our espressos were some of the best we have ever had anywhere - including Florence, the pastries and cookies were delicious - we bought and shared - and the staff was loooooovely. Seriously. Day 1 a guy there took my order and then remembered that order on Day 2. (Hello there, Vancouver friend!) I picked up coffees and treats for us and for others twice daily for six days and it felt like a taste of Home. (We're from New Orleans. Go to Mojo on Magazine there and say 'hi' to Paul!) Thanks so much, lovelies at MUD, for being such wonderful humans. We brought home a bag of your espresso and it's divine - and we can't wait to be back.

They ask me to wait outside in the cold until they had a table and they made a comment about me having a service dog

If I could give more stars, I would. Simply one of the tastiest and friendliest places around. The coffee, yum. The food, yum. The drinks, yum.

It's a smaller space, darker lighting, loud atmosphere. The food itself was fine. I enjoyed the Mud Burrito. My wife got the Sourdough French Toast which felt much more like an almond pancake. It was eggy though and not really giving off the sourdough flavor. My main gripe with the meal was our waitress completely bailed after taking our order. Luckily another waiter came over after we had finished our meal and had been sitting there for awhile (35+ min) and took care of us. Not the best, not the worst. Coffee was strong which I like.

Delicious & a staple for the locals who live in the area! You'll bump into a lot of cool Lower East Side/NYU people here! The food is great, especially the avocado toast with iced coffee. Its a famous little spot for a reason!

This is a great place to have breakfast or brunch. The coffee is delicious, not as tasty as the Ecuadorian coffee, but it is perfect. We got some eggs, salad, multigrain bread, french toast, and an avocado sandwich. The only thing is that we came on Sunday, and the place was very crowded, so the service was slow, but I undestand it was because it was busy.

This is a cool spot for a grabbing a coffee and enjoy the atmosphere, but not for brunch. The menu doesn’t have so many options and the food was ok, but not worth 1 hour wait. The host wasn’t nice either. After 1 hour waiting, when she finally assigned us a table, she threw us the menus. I would like to go again though, but just for coffee (the iced latte was very good).

Very yummy but rice and beans should have higher bean:rice ratio or just be separate so you can sub quinoa for just rice

I have come to Mud a few times because my friend is a frequent customer. However, I’ve noticed that the treatment I received when my friend (who’s white) is there with me, versus when I (Black) am alone is extremely different. The all white bartender staff was rude and acted like I didn’t belong there. The waitress was nice, especially when I told her who my friend is (known by all the staff), but the others were just nasty. I don’t recommend Black people go here.
