I wish more people were here! It's a dive by looks, but the food is amazing!

This place was better a few years ago but it’s now half pizza restaurant. Top class coffee and beers though and great original old world feel….apart from the restaurant bit!

Local who stopped in for drinks, and ended up ordering a pie, was told it was portabella mushrooms called literally “pizzabella” named after Portabella mushrooms, pizza came out with canned mushrooms, was told the market didn’t have portabella so they had to use canned today, that’s fine, I understand being out of an ingredient, I don’t understand not telling your customer about it before hand, the “boss” came to assure us we would like the canned mushrooms, we didn’t, we weren’t offered any discount even after complaining after the first few bites that it was gross canned mushrooms, we also were treated differently when the “boss” found out we were localsa parte la pizza che proclamava di essere fungo Portobello ma in realtà era in scatola, questo posto non è autentico in alcun modo forma o forumGave an extra star for the whiskey cola drink being a little strongAlso I’ll gladly come back, 3 people wrote 3 reviews, get over your self

I’ve never seen a manager handle a customer complaint with such distaste for her patrons. She admitted that they were out of an ingredient advertised on the menu & served it to us with a substitution. She then told us to let her know if we didn’t like it… when we did so all she asked was if she wanted us to have her “doctor it up at all”… why don’t you just make us a new pizza with the ingredients advertised? She then asked us where we were from & instantly changed her tone when she learned we live in New York. Sad to think of all the tourists this place is probably scamming!

I am lucky enough to live in Little Italy and I've been coming here a minimum of once a week, sometimes more with my friends. I have become friendly with the staff and owner. I've tried many different items here and have loved them all....it's hard to choose a favorite but I do gravitate most often to their fusilli with pesto, ravioli, meatball appetizer (GREAT meatballs and sauce) pizzas and the Basilico. It has almost become a standing joke with the owner who makes fun of me for never knowing what I want to eat. My answer to that is it's her fault for offering too many excellent choices! The atmosphere is always friendly and welcoming, great staff and incredibly stocked full bar. This place has great history and is one of the must-visit treasures in Little Italy. Emily DePalo

Bait and switch restaurant, we ordered a pizza with portabella mushrooms (the "pizza bella") and they made it with canned and refused to remake or discount. They thought we were tourists and immediately got embarrassed when we told them we were from here - not intimidated by their old school tactics, sorry. This place sucks but the drinks were OK, before the pizza debacle we were planning on spending a considerable amount of time there - they could have remade the pizza with something else and made another hundred bucks with us staying there but oh well. Sad. Next time you 86 key ingredients tell the customer, industry standard. Looking forward to your response:)
