My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful time at this charming and intimate restaurant which possibly has the best Indian food in NYC.
Been coming to NYC for years and stay with family, well this year our family has moved back to the UK and it's just us. So arriving in town I really wanted to get some Indian food for dinner, but try something new. Muna was a 10 minute walk from our hotel, and it being a beautiful night in March it was perfect to walk over. What a lovely find! So lovely and they are very welcoming when you walk-in. Service was excellent and they understood we couldn't have leftovers being in a hotel, and were honest if this or that was large or to be shared. I wish we could have ordered more, so many things on the menu looks worth trying... I hope to come back with more people in tow sometime soon. This is a definite must to try as the food spice level was perfect and so flavorful.

I came here for a birthday dinner with a group of 4 people. I liked that the place had Indian and Nepalese dishes so there was a good variety of dishes on the menu. We ordered the pani puri, the chili chicken momos, the chicken biryani, the lamb vindaloo, the chili garlic naan, and the paneer naan. The chili chicken momos were really tasty and the chili sauce was delicious. The vindaloo was spicy but still manageable. There were so many flavors of naan but the chili garlic naan was the most flavorful. Service was amazing, everyone was very attentive. They even gave us a complimentary birthday dessert which had kheer (rice pudding), gulab jamun (honey dough balls), and rasmalai (cottage cheese in milk). I would definitely come back!
