Everything there is overpriced—I mainly go for the convenience, but seriously, the buffet prices are outrageous. I’m not sure the older gentleman at the counter reads the scale correctly, as I often feel overcharged. Today, I got a small container with rice, chicken, broccoli, and a bit of salad, and it came out to over $17. On top of that, the staff at the register are consistently rude. One time, I saw a woman in front of me buy two sets of flowers. She asked him to wrap them together, and his reaction was incredibly rude—his expression made it seem like he was completely annoyed just because she made a simple request. Honestly, I think today might be the last time I go there.

Clean and spacious market. I’ve never seen a salad/fruit bar so big, everything looked good. I bought a plate of fresh fruit that made my day.
The chubby Spanish guy helping me was very rude. Bad attitude. Customer Service very poor. 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎👎

This is the rudest staff I’ve encountered in all of new york lol. Store owner just randomly screams at people. Price scammers and expired food, avoid for your own sake.

Murray Hill Market…. Where NYC Meets a Touch of Opera and Pickles!
Ah, Murray Hill Market-where the air smells like freshly brewed coffee, the shelves are stocked like a gourmet wonderland, and the opera music makes you feel like you've been transported straight out of NYC and into a European café (or maybe a dramatic Italian opera, depending on the song).
First off, this place is CLEAN and organized-like, Marie Kondo herself might shed a tear of happiness. Every aisle is easy to navigate, which is a rare luxury in the city. Whether you're on a mission for fresh fruit, need an emergency floral arrangement (we've all been there), or just want a piping hot bowl of soup, this place delivers.
Speaking of food, let's talk about the essentials:
* Hot buffet? Check. Soups? Yes. Salads? Fresh and crisp.
* Juice bar? Absolutely. Because sometimes, you need something green to balance out life's indulgences.
* Prepared foods, coffee, and more? You bet. If it's edible and delicious, they probably have it.
Now, onto my meal: I grabbed a classic chicken sandwich and a buffalo chicken sandwich-both were solid choices. The rolls? Fresh. The veggies? Crisp. And let's not forget the real MVP: the pickles. Yes, pickles. Crunchy, briny, and downright delicious. The kind of pickles that make you pause mid-bite and appreciate life.
After a long day, this spot is perfect for a quick soup and sandwich fix— comfort food without the wait. Whether you're a local or just passing through, make a pit stop here. Murray Hill Market, see you soon!
