Nadas - Rainbow Gluten Free Empanadas

These empanadas are exceptional. We love basically every flavor we've tried (which is most of them), especially the mango pork and chorizo & cheese. We come here basically as often as we find ourselves in the neighborhood—sometimes making special trips just for Nadas—and have never had a bad experience. The hot sauce is amazing, the fresh juices are also very good, and everything is gluten free.

The storefront is small, with only a couple of seats by the window and a table or two on the sidewalk. But this doesn't really matter because the empanadas are always much too hot to eat right away; better to walk to a park and find a nice shady spot to eat after letting them cool for 5 minutes or so. They also sell their empanadas frozen, which are easy to heat in an air fryer or oven.

Truly one of our favorite spots in all of the city for several years now, absolutely 5/5.

We ordered half dozen and a dozen empanadas and some people have dietary restrictions. The guy wrote everything down for both orders and still mixed all the empanadas.

They close for special events. Ruined our dinner plans. Seem to close whenever. Oh well

Fantastic empanadas. Highly recommend– especially the mango pork!! The sauce they come with is amazing. And everything is gluten free, so it is safe for anyone with gluten intolerance or celiac.

I’ve heard about Nadas delicious gluten free empanadas before, so I had to try them out while I was in the Village. I live empanadas and try any I can when I see them. The shop itself is just a walk up to the counter and order, but the lady at the counter was nice. I only ordered one empanada as I had just eaten breakfast so I got it for lunch for later. I got the Chorizo and Cheese empanada. I didn’t eat it until later in the day, but it was still delicious. At first thought when I took it out of the bag was that it was small, but it was super filling and packed with great flavor. For the price next time I will definitely get more, but probably would only need two for a full lunch. Will definitely go back and bring others to try them as well.

Empanadas didn’t really have much flavor and dry, maybe it’s because they are gluten free? Whatever the case might be, they look good/IG worthy, but it tasted as if it was just flavored with salt and not much else. Oh, half my order was wrong also.

It was fairly easy to find, there’s no seating or parking. It’s takeout only. The guy that worked there was nice. The food was fresh yummy and you could not tell it was gluten-free. Reasonable price for the size especially for Greenwich. I would go back.

This place is a neighborhood institution! I was enjoying a delicious empanada and at the same time Manny and the team checked in on the mailwoman and made sure she was having a good day. They gave free water and chatted her up. What a gem

I went to the Wicked Gluten-Free Expo in Philly on Sept 7, 2024 with my daughter. Nadas was there, and I asked questions about their products, which they were very helpful in answering. I purchased some frozen beef and chicken ones. They told us that outside the venue, they had a pop-up where we were able to get freshly cooked ones. The pork and mango ones were to die for! Also, ate the chicken and beef. They were all so yummy! We will definitely go and get more!

So glad my poor foodie heart could try this
