This spot showed me that sometimes places exceed your expectations. The price structure matches the food standards. The staff shows remarkable kindness and reception. This place has an inviting feel. Without a doubt, I'll come back.

I'm reluctant to spread the word about this amazing spot. The team maintains pleasant demeanors without exception. The bill aligns with what you receive. The food is worth coming back for! The place occupies a prime area and the staff was attentive throughout our visit.

My introduction to Philippine cuisine and it was delicious! The fried chicken is so crispy and well seasoned on the outside while the meat is tender and juicy. The adobo rice is crispy from the hot clay pot and has chicken and pork and egg mashed all together. Ginataang is fresh and flavourful— especially loved it with rice. Dessert is also a highlight: the foamy ube was light and not too sweet while the crust is super buttery and crunchy

We went for a preset dinner that you had to pay ahead for. We were really excited to try Naks and have been wanting to go for a while. We were sat 30 minutes after our reservation time and had to wait outside for half because of the space inside. When we were finally sat, we were asked if we had allergies, and I mentioned I am very allergic to raw shellfish. The waiter said he couldn’t accommodate me for one of the dishes, even though we did not have access to the menu early. He just presented the dish to my fiancé and said I’d have to skip it. I am usually very mindful of the allergy and avoid omakase where it’s more tricky but have never had an issue outside of omakase, especially since usually preset menus will at least have a menu to look at before you book. We were not comped for anything and the dinner was $350 for 2 people. Truly top 3 worst restaurant service experiences I’ve had.

We went here for the first time and with high expectations. It’s not the service, we know they’d be great. We were expecting better plates. Foods were just OK. Not bad at all.

Dynamite was delish. I’m glad it wasn’t the whole jalapeño inside. They ground it with other ingridients like cheese.

Kobe burger was OK. I thought it was a little salty for me. But it’s “tapa” style so I could relate.

Never had medium-cooked pork in my life. That hesitated me to eat more entree. It tasted good but no medium-cooked pork for me again.

The pastry with ice cream was good. Almost all desserts are good. Sugar is a brain magnet.

Staff are great. I like that the restaurant is a little dark. Noise level is mild. Good overall local and international food experience.

Went on a Thursday night, loved every moment of it! The food was delicious, and had nice presentation, also very creative. The ambiance was bustling but not too loud nor too crowded. Loved the adobo rice & beef cheek we ordered. Loved loved the ube cheesecake! So unique!

Having been born in Manila and growing up in NYC, I’ve seen Filipino food being something that was highly overlooked, considered gross and misunderstood to highly popular and very trendy.

Went here last night to celebrate my son’s 14th birthday. I knew this wasn’t going to be like the Filipino places in Woodside, Queens and Jersey City, so I wasn’t going to compare it to those establishments. But while walking to Naks I couldn’t help being reminded of a former Filipino restaurant diagonally on the corner of 13th and 1st Ave in ‘Elvie’s Turo Turo’ (#YKIYK) from back in the day as a kid.

Ordered the Lumpiang Gulay, which reminded me of my Mom’s cooking, the Kanto Fried Chicken, the Pork Belly, along with the classic, garlic fried rice, because it’s not Filipino cuisine unless you have “kanin”. :) We also ordered both Pancit dishes to share, along with tall glasses of Calamamsi for both kids. Loved the variety of foods at our table!

While my wife didn’t really enjoy the pancit (I think they were expecting the traditional panit bihon) I was VERY pleased with our food, and totally understand the direction of what Naks is trying to do and offer. The service is really great - we arrived 30mins early and sat us down - and they were so awesome in surprising my son’s birthday with a Filipino flan cake with singing at our table. Thank you very much for an amazing dining experience!

The dishes here tell stories through their flavors. The team stayed alert to our table's needs. The meal was so tasty everyone finished completely. You can enjoy the well-designed environment. I'm content with what this place offers.

Cannot recommend this place enough! Had the Japanese Eggplant and the Fried Chicken as our appetizers and they were all incredibly flavorful. The entrees were a notch above somehow with the Crab and Kare Kare stealing the show for me. Our server Ace was one of the best I’ve ever encountered giving excellent recommendations and super attentive to all of our needs. The manager Tina also came by multiple times to make sure we were enjoying everything and made the experience even more unique with the gifts that she sent for my birthday. Naks will not disappoint in making you feel special for any occasion, and I’m already thinking about when I will be booking my visit!

Pretty decent food. Everything erred on the side of being a little bit too sweet. However, those vinegar fries were stand out — especially with their vinegar hot sauce. I got their fried chicken sandwich and their beef platter. The beef was very good and came with some fun pickle-y bits.

Delightful meal at this east village Filipino restaurant, first visit. The room in back transports you to a tropical island vibe. Generous portions were a bit more filling than we anticipated and we did not leave room for dessert although they sounded tantalizing. Enjoyed our cocktails, and our server was attentive and kind. Everything we ate was delicious, only comment would be that I think it was a little bit salty from my palate. Recommend!
