Food are as good among other Cantonese restaurants in the area. Went in for lunch, special lunch menu has plenty of choice at fixed price. Good service.

All I wanted was bbq pork when I came to NYC and this place delivered. I kind wish I ordered more of their food but I will definitely come back to try more when i come back to NYC.

Consumers must be aware that there is currently an extra $1 (10% per meal) for takeout lunches after 4 p.m. Today, I called at 3:55pm to place an order for takeout, but when picking up the takeout, the cashier asked for an extra $1 per takeout. Her explanation is that the boss stipulates that the extra $1 (per serving) will be calculated based on the time the consumer pays, not the time the order is placed. But their menu only states that takeout at 4pm will add $1 per order. The money is only a small amount but it makes people feel cheated!
After visiting the dentist in Chinatown today, I had lunch here. I ordered 4 plates of lunch dishes. Very cheap and discounted price. The steamed grass carp is very delicious and the meat is delicious. The black pepper beef fillet is very good?. It is worth recommending. The smooth egg and shrimp, Not bad. Stir-fried lettuce with garlic???very delicious.. I don’t know why “Laohuo Soup” is not delivered for free? The white rice is a bit hard ? But I will come here for lunch next time I come to Chinatown.

New Hong Wong has improved on their food items after their renovation, much tastier n bigger portions with their dishes. The place is brightly lit n considering how busy they were, the bathrooms were kept clean. The prices were reasonable but we did order a fish that cost $62 dollars but it was amazing. I will most definitely go back!!

The rice they cooked was very unpalatable. Because the kitchen uses poor quality rice for cooking.

I have attempted to come here a few times this year but, was always a little too late on my arrival. By around 1 pm the place is a mad house for lunch. Usually filled with older patrons, taking part in their ridiculously well priced and delicious lunch special. For 9 dollars, you can order a whole host of items that normally appear to be more than twice the cost.
I arrived around 11:15 and was one of the first to arrive for lunch. i was seated at a large circular table and given a pot of tea.
I ordered two items off the lunch special. the first being braised tofu and fish, the second being pork belly with long hot peppers. They both arrived steaming hot. My first impression had me shocked. Not only was this a huge portion of fish and tofu but it was perfectly cooked. you could tell the fish was made to order. the fish had a nice crispy exterior and had soaked in some of the delicious brown braising sauce. the tofu, the same.
The pork belly with hot peppers while not as bountiful, or complicated a dish was excerpt what i ordered. i assumed at first it was going to be a twice cooked pork, it was a pretty straight forward stir fry with sweet onions and peppers. Quality of everything was really nice.
Free bowl of rice and a free pot of tea, what a deal.
Friendly staff, great experience, i will be back after watching several other dishes come out of the kitchen. i would definitely get the braised tofu again and either try their bbq items, or this garlic chicken i saw come out, or their steamed whole dish for 12 bucks, or like 30 other menu items.
This place needs my further attention!
