I ordered one of the lunch special shredded beef Szechuan style over rice, the egg drop soup came with it. I spent $20 including tips. Food was okay for the price, beef was very different and gluey, very high sodium. Soup was too thick. Rice was the best part I think. 3 stars for the rice and price.

The food is always excellent. I try to be in the area. Unfortunately , today I had a take out order of twice cooked pork. When I got home, it was not twice cooked pork. It was few, little pieces of pork with a lot of mushrooms and tofu. Totally unsatisfying. It is usually so good.

I had high hopes for New Moon Chinese Restaurant, but unfortunately my experience was disappointing. The staff’s attitude was quite unfriendly — it felt like they didn’t really want to serve customers. The food also wasn’t very tasty; the flavors were dull and not what I expected for the price. Overall, I left feeling let down. I hope they can improve both their service and food quality in the future.

Okay this place is so underrated and so GOOD. The lo mein is some of the best I’ve had, the broccoli in garlic sauce is delectable and I have high standards. Not to mention the people who work there couldn’t have been nicer. It was raining outside and one of the waiters offered us his umbrella 😭 you don’t hear about that sort of kindness in New York anymore. Will be back, highly recommend. Also the tap water was mad tasty
This place is AMAZING! We tried so many Chinese spots and NONE of them came close to the quality and taste of New Moon. The ribs in black bean sauce is my favorite! Hot and sour soup is the BEST! Egg rolls are legit, if I was to nit pick, maybe more pork in them. We’ve never had a bad meal here.
