Enjoy a classic American diner. Coffee refills, fluffy pancakes and poached eggs with corned beef is to die for. The staff are amazing and it's a joy to see their balletic finesse in serving customers.

We had breakfast there this morning. The food was inedible, and we were not given the chance for a refund. Stay away! Bad.

After walking past this restaurant on many occasions and seeing it absolutely slammed, we decided to finally see what all the hullabaloo was about. Despite being very crowded we were seated straight away amid all the controlled chaos. Service was fast and friendly, however, the food itself is nothing to write home about.
I had the French Toast, and it seemed like they only waved the bread at the batter. I asked for crispy bacon and it came burned on the edges. The OJ was not fresh squeezed like two other diners we patronized nearby. The table syrup is just that, not real maple syrup, again unlike other close by establishments. My wife enjoyed her pancakes.
The coffee was hot and regularly replenished, and the small dish of fruit, strawberries and blueberries, was fresh.
At the end of the day, $62, including tip, for a meh meal in a crowded and noisy restaurant where everything seemed a bit chaotic and rushed.
There are better choices nearby, but that’s just my opinion, and I could be mistaken.

A gem in midtown. nostalgic and comforting diner. Food is yummy and for the price even better. The steak and eggs breakfast will always be my go to but there’s honestly so much to choose from. Very kind service as well. Def recommend!

We came into the city for the woman's march several years ago and found the N Y Luncheonette and have now been back for all the No Kings protests. Were from western Massachusetts and eat at this establishment every visit for nearly all of our meals. Truly enjoy every meal. Thank you. George & Dan

Pretty good food, try it if you’re in the area! Eggs aren’t the best out of all the choices in New York, but the waffles and sausage are great!

New York Luncheonette has that classic New York diner vibe that’s getting harder to find. It’s been around for decades, and you can feel that local history when you walk in.
We stopped in for brunch and the food was straightforward and satisfying. The bacon came out perfectly crispy just like we asked, the portions were generous, and everything was exactly what you’d expect from a traditional diner breakfast. Nothing overly fancy, but just solid brunch food done well.
The crowd felt like a mix of tourists and locals, which makes sense for a place that’s been part of the neighborhood for over 30 years. It’s also a great spot if you want a quick sit-down meal without committing to a long brunch experience. When there’s no line, you can easily get in and out in under an hour.
If you’re looking for a classic New York breakfast spot with history and dependable diner food, this is a great option.

Came here for lunch with a friend yesterday. We were greeted quickly and our waiter was very friendly and attentive, which was the highlight of the visit.
Unfortunately, the restaurant had an unpleasant smell when we walked in. The fries were great, but the sandwich I ordered was very bland and lacked flavor, especially for the price. The fountain drinks also upset our stomachs later.
Both my friend and I ended up feeling sick afterward and I even threw up later, so something didn’t sit right with us. I ended up having stomach cramps the rest of the day as well — possibly from the deli meat. It’s unfortunate because the service was really great, but the food quality and overall experience were disappointing.
