i regularly visit her when working in NY, it's my go to breakfast. The overnight oats are to die for, the coffee is good and lots of cakes and eggs. Many choices for Breakfast and lunch. It's also a lovely, homely, neighbourhood place, lots of locals and regulars. It's not fancy, it's good food and service.

Best coffee in the neighborhood. They serve la colombe. They also make a fantastic egg and cheese on a bagel. The staff here is fantastic as well and they work really quickly even when it’s busy

We stumbled upon this place. We were headed to a different spot for coffee but not paying 8 bucks for one. Found this place. Much more reasonable. We love heavy cream in our coffee. First place we have found that offers it. Also split a wrap. Very good! Would definitely recommend!

Waited 30 minutes for a simple egg wrap, meanwhile everyone else who ordered after me got their food. I asked the kitchen staff 3 times for the status and they kept saying “2 more minutes”. I left paying $15 for a breakfast I never got. I was told they would refund it but don’t have any faith they will. Horrible experience.
Edit: I was certainly NOT told about the wait time, I would have gone elsewhere if I knew it would take 30 minutes for a simple egg wrap. Stop gaslighting your reviewers by implying they agreed to absurd wait times and take accountability!

NewsBar is the absolute best. I worked here one summer, >20 years ago, and the owner/boss was lovely, and the quality of the food/drinks was great... As two-decades-long customer, I still love everything. It's a really well-run establishment with great service and excellent products.
