Waited 30 minutes for a simple egg wrap, meanwhile everyone else who ordered after me got their food. I asked the kitchen staff 3 times for the status and they kept saying “2 more minutes”. I left paying $15 for a breakfast I never got. I was told they would refund it but don’t have any faith they will. Horrible experience.
Edit: I was certainly NOT told about the wait time, I would have gone elsewhere if I knew it would take 30 minutes for a simple egg wrap. Stop gaslighting your reviewers by implying they agreed to absurd wait times and take accountability!

NewsBar is the absolute best. I worked here one summer, >20 years ago, and the owner/boss was lovely, and the quality of the food/drinks was great... As two-decades-long customer, I still love everything. It's a really well-run establishment with great service and excellent products.

I have breakfast at the Newsbar most mornings and I'm rarely disappointed with the food. The workers there are always upbeat and professional. And there are very few better ways to start a morning than getting a smile from Yanna.

Tried their coffee , it was okayish. But the resturant itself had this weird smell inside / and i could not tolerate to sit inside. Staff is friendly and outdoor sitting it great too..

This is a wonderful place for breakfast. We fiund ut on our first morming in NY and liked it so much that we came back for all our breakfasts. The coffee is really good and everything we had to eat tasted fantastic. The staff was also very friendly. We love to come back, if we ever make it back to NY.

I ordered mushroom&spinach omelette, and there was a chicken piece in it. It honestly made me nauseous. Then the employee I told was very nice about it and asked me if I want anything for free. I wasn’t going to leave this review till she came to my table after 10 minutes this happened and said I should close my laptop because they are busy. If you make a mistake like putting a chicken in an omelette, I think you can be more understanding about your laptop policy.
This is my favorite place in New York City. Newsbar has it all: kind and overall amazing staff, friendly and recurring patrons, in a perfect location, and delicious food and coffee
