One of the most unique cafes in NYC. The food and coffee is simply a bonus to the amazing staff & owners of this establishment. I truly recommend this place to all locals, tourists, and coffee connoisseurs alike ☕️

I thought the breakfast sandwich was great, they definitely use fresh ingredients. The wife got an avocado toast and the egg was a bit undercooked, over easy is ok but the white wasn’t cooked and when broken it leaked a clearish liquid. They do have an assortment of gluten free baked goods but if you have celiac please note they are cross contaminated which they lady behind the counter told us.

These took an hour… farm to table I assume?Updates: I apologize for not posting the exact time! It’s actually 44 minutes to be exact. Maybe a couple minutes less since I didn’t take the photo exactly when the food was put on the table. But I hope that is a big difference for 2 dishes. Also yes, we were told that these dishes are going to take long when we complained about the wait, not when we ordered the food.On top of everything, I did go read your response to my friend’s post. Appreciate you for offering video evidence for how long we waited. Quick note though, just because me and my friend both have Chinese names and we feel the same way about how long we waited, does not mean we are actually one person with 2 profiles. Funny that you would make that assumption.I attached my details here as well so I don’t hurt your reputation for giving misleading information.Oh also they did gave us a free bottle of sparkling water and orange juice to apologize for the wait. To whom is reading this, if you are up for that, be my guest.

Local gem that has the best breakfast in the area. NewsBar has a ton of personality and the staff is always willing to give a great recommendation. Highly recommend if you are in the area.

I LOVE this place. I ordered avocado toast and forgot to say gluten free and they remade it for me and didn’t charge me for it. Excellent customer

NO RECOMENDABLE FOR DOG LOVERS PEOPLE THEY ARE TONS OF REALLY COOL AND BIG PLACES NEAR BY THIS AREA FOR DOG OWNERS THIS PLACE IS VERY HATEFUL IF THEY SEE U WITH UR DOG I WANTED TO SIT TO HAVE A MEAL WITH MY SMALL DOG IN HIS BAG AND THEY GIVE A HORRIBLE LOOK YOU. Could SEE THE HATE IN THEIR EYES I JUST PAY MY COFFE AND MY SANDWICH AND LEAVE I M NOT COMING BACK! AND THE GUY IN THE REGISTER VERY RUDE NOT A GOOD ATTITUDE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I used to love this place until I got a service dog. The older man that is usually there in the mornings started to stare at me and my dog even though it’s a service dog. He started to make me feel uncomfortable and like I didn’t belong there because of my dog. I will never forget the judging eyes. A small, innocent creature that doesn’t make any mess. They even put a sign to make sure dogs didn’t enter the place. So, if you hate dogs I totally hate you and your place. Therefore, I do not recommend this place for dog lovers or dog owners, even if you have a service dog. Theres a thousand places in Manhattan that do not judge you, especially when you have a condition and need a service buddy. And to that man I hope that one day he is so happy that he focus on relevant things, related to the growth of the business and not the judgment of others. ?

Visiting NYC and stumbled upon this delightful little cafe. I had a cappuccino and croissant, they were both delicious! There is lots of seating inside and it has a nice, bustling ambiance.

A nice little cafe. The food is solid, and there's more seating than you might assume. You need to order from the counter and then you are given a numbered placard so the servers can find you when they bring out your order.I ordered the Mexican egg wrap and was generally happy with it. It was under-salted, as was a dish a friend ordered, but it was good enough for breakfast/brunch. Another friend had a gluten free fig bar and loved it, and the croissant/egg sandwiches were also thought to be good.Note that laptops are prohibited over lunch hours, and the cafe was out of a few condiments (like creamer), but overall it is a nice place.
