I did my 25th birthday celebration here and it was perfect! The staff was extremely attentive and made sure my guest and I were well taken care of the entire evening. The food and wine was delicious. If you are thinking about having an intimate event here, do it!!

We weren’t blown away by Nine Cases and were a little surprised by the average review being so high compared to most good NYC restaurants. They were out of stock of the red wine we wanted, and didn’t have anything similar, which isn’t really what you expect when going to a wine bar, and only offer a handful of options. The food was decent - yummy options but some of it felt not super fresh, like it was made a few hours before serving. Nice vibe but we weren’t overwhelmed.

Nine Cases is a hidden gem on the LES. An impressive fairly-priced assortment of wines from around the world along with creative, flavorful, expertly prepared small plates. We loved that we could sample a number of different dishes. It was tough to choose because we happily could have ordered everything on the menu. Our server, Samuel, was so knowledgeable about the wines and food and he made great recommendations! We’ll be back.

pretty decent atmosphere (a taaaad loud but not to the point we had to yell, but we went on a sat night) & broad selection! i believe everything was between $13-18 a glass which is reasonable. i know very little about wine and they were decently helpful in helping find things i liked. decent balance of bar seating and tables
i think the idea is there’s a rotating menu of 9 wines in each category?
What a Lower East side gem. Samuel couldn't have been a better waiter. Can't wait to come back to try more of the menu
