The tortilla soup was perfectly delicious. Rib-eye tacos are spectacular, but I had to ask for corn tortillas instead of flour. I didn't like the mole; I am a mole lover, but this one had chicken wings with bones and skin, and watercrest. It was a nouvelle cuisine dish, but the overall flavor was not for me. Great location and nice vibe. It is a little bit expensive. The Rib-eye tacos were —$ 20 for two. Overall, a nice place.
LOVED this new restaurant. A must try! The mole sauce on the enchiladas was out of this world DELICIOUS (and gluten free!) and they were super excellent taking care with my allergies. Oysters were fresh and incredible. Cocktails really great, the spicy marg is better than the regular one and the happy hour on Mondays is awesome! Vibe super great as well as the service. My ONLY complaint were the chips, but I feel it's a super important thing at a mexican place to have good chips. These were charred, bland and flavorless, and while I LOVED that they were celiac safe gluten free (not fried in a frier with flour), they kind of ruined what were otherwise decent salsas. They were also a bit chewy almost in a stale way, but the lack of flavor, texture and no salt was the main problem. We actually held back our salt from our oysters to help with the chips, but it didn't solve the texture or overall taste. Otherwise this place was incredible if the chips were good it would have a 11/10 from me and I'd be a regular!!!!! Still will definitely go back here, and hopefully they will reinvent their chips!
Title: A Culinary Delight at Nizuc NYC and Taverna by the Gyro Project
If you're on the hunt for an outstanding culinary experience in NYC, look no further than Nizuc NYC. Our recent delivery order from this gem of a restaurant was nothing short of spectacular. From the moment we placed our order, we were met with exceptional service—fast, efficient, and incredibly friendly. The staff at Nizuc NYC truly knows how to make you feel welcome, even from afar.
The Mexican cuisine here is fabulous, with each dish cooked to perfection and generously portioned. Every bite was a testament to the skill and passion of the culinary team. If you're a fan of Mexican flavors, this is a must-try destination that will leave your taste buds dancing with delight.
A special shoutout to Matt Petromilli, the Director of Events & Client Relations. Matt is truly the best person for his role. His accommodating nature and welcoming demeanor make every interaction a pleasure. It's rare to come across someone so dedicated to ensuring a top-notch experience for every customer, and Matt does it with ease.
But the experience doesn't stop at Nizuc. If you're in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine, their partner location, Taverna by the Gyro Project, is a must-visit. We had the pleasure of dining in for a teambuilding dinner, and it was an absolute hit with everyone. From appetizers to salads, entrees to desserts, every item on the menu was amazingly good. The flavors were authentic, and the presentation was impeccable not to mention the spectacular service from our servers.
In conclusion, whether you're craving Mexican or Mediterranean cuisine, these two locations offer an unforgettable dining experience. If you haven't already, make sure to check out Nizuc NYC and Taverna by the Gyro Project. Both are excellent choices for anyone looking to enjoy high-quality food and exceptional service in New York City. Highly recommended!

We had a quality meal at this restaurant. Noise was loud but this was a Friday night. The dishes came quickly from the kitchen and service was excellent. Prices were a bit steep. Three people at $ 100 each without any alcohol. People who have eaten in Mexico are probably used to cheaper prices, but that's in Mexico, not in the heart of NYC.
The food was absolutely not worth the price. Cannot recommend.

This place has a unique setup — a Mexican restaurant in the front and a Greek restaurant tucked away in the back. The contrast is pretty clear: the Mexican side is always lively and nearly full, while the Greek side tends to sit quiet and empty.
We went for the Mexican food, and it did not disappoint. Every dish was flavorful, well-prepared, and had that authentic touch that makes you want to come back. The team running the place is warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly, which adds a lot to the experience.
While the Greek side might not get much love, the Mexican kitchen is clearly the star here. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the mood for great Mexican flavors in a casual, bustling atmosphere.
