All time favourite Italian restaurant in NYC. I have been going there for over 15 years once or twice a year when in NYC (I live abroad in France). I would not miss it for anything. Great service, great dishes, great service, great wine and great atmosphere...all these for resonnable pricing. What else...?

We had an intimate 30th Anniversary dinner at Nocello during the NYC 2/23/26 blizzard. Isaak our waiter was wonderful
as were the owners who welcomed us warmly. Food was delicious. The atmosphere is unpretentious, authentic European cafe.

Nocello is a true gem in Midtown! The atmosphere is warm and elegant—perfect for a pre-theater dinner or a romantic night out. The homemade pasta is incredible; I had the pappardelle with lamb ragu and it was perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The service from Korra was top-notch—attentive, friendly, and made great recommendations. Prices are reasonable for the quality ($40-50 per person for a full meal). Can't wait to come back!

We had a delicious dinner that all 4 of us devoured. The warm, crispy bread was a great way to start the meal. The oysters were delicious, as was the carciofi. The lobster tail fettuccine was SO GOOD, the branzini was tasty, and the other two meals were reduced to empty plates with their owners loving what they ate. A good Chianti Reserva was sipped throughout. Dessert was a combination of a wonderful ricotta cheesecake, a scoop of salted caramel gelato, and a cannoli that everyone enjoyed. This meal was delivered by a warm and friendly staff. Thank you. We will definitely return.

We celebrated my husband Erick's birthday on January 19th (9 people) and had a very pleasant and delicious dinner. It's worth mentioning that we've been to this restaurant many times before and have always had a great experience. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere: 100/100.
We will definitely return and we recommend it 100%.

This is a reasonably priced Italian place for midtown. Food is very good with real person portion sizes. It feels relaxed. The light up menus are a bit odd. The one knock is that they push the bread REALLY hard: at one point we were asked like 5 times within 10 minutes if we wanted it, and as others have noted it’s not free. We couldn’t help but laugh, but it definitely made the place seem cheap.

Small, charming, and impeccably clean. The mushroom soup was excellent, rich and flavorful without any cream. The pork chop was pounded thin, perfectly breaded, and topped with fresh salad and mozzarella. The angel hair pasta Elio with salmon and asparagus was outstanding. Dessert sealed the deal: a pistachio cake that was an unexpected and delightful surprise.

The food was excellent. The staff acted like we were annoying them when we asked a question. They were borderline rude and forgetful. Food was excellent.
Amazing food, interesting clientele. Recommend for date nights

Lovely food. Great bread, pasta, and fish dishes. Pounded and crusted Baby lamb chops are consistently delicious. Excellent waiters. Solid and value based wine list. Comfortable and warm atmosphere. For over 20 years we have rarely if ever been disappointed. This is our go to restaurant where we are always welcomed back.

We arrived early for our reservation and were seated right away. We were very rushed and hadn't looked at drink menu and dinner menu. Waiter was told 3 times stop rushing us. When appetizers came after a few minutes started cleaning table. Still eating. Very annoying. After dinner he gave us cordials on the house. I was just annoyed with the rushed service. Food was good. Small amounts though
We had a reservation here before a show. Our server was a bit abrupt when he greeted us then different people came to the table so we weren't really sure who our server was. We order an appetizer, bread and drinks and they were good. We watched as many people came in, were started, served and left. Finally I flagged down a person clearing tables and told him we never received our dinner. He looked surprised and disappeared into the kitchen. We were really shocked that no one came to our table to apologize or even acknowledge there was an issue. After about 15 more minutes my husband went out in search of our server. He spoke with someone who acted as if they did not care so he asked for the manager. The manager actually made it worse with us. He came to our table and said it was our fault because we ordered something that took longer to make. Chicken rollantini? How would that possibly take an hour and 15 minutes to make? Not once did we hear “we are so sorry this happened “ only hearing it's our fault. Surprisingly poor service in midtown and a huge disappointment. I'm originally from the NY metropolitan area but living in Montana now. We were really looking forward to a nice Italian meal while in the city, too bad we didn't get one.
Great overall experience. Food was delicious and a very nice wine list. We had 8 people in our party and all reported they really enjoyed the experience.
Great pre-theatre dinner, served in a timely manner. All in all a good experience at reasonable prices. A true neighborhood place.
Best clams casino ever, we even ordered another round! Lamb chops were different than expected but delicious! Wonderful dinner over all.
