I have to say my favorite dish is the Peking Duck Bun, I travel from Harlem just to pick me one up every now and then.. When you walk in everyone is friendly and it doesn’t feel like my present “background” would be a disturbance.. The lemonade is also tasty.. Not to mention the Xo sauce is perfect S/o Nom Wah for doing it right

It’s all about the food. And it’s just as good as most. The name rings out. That’s all you want from it in the end

Love this place. The staff is always so friendly and professional (shout out to Chris & KD) and the vibes are laid back and casual. I come in every few weeks and love trying new items off the menu.
Some dishes I've enjoyed:
Shrimp toast
Duck bao
Shu mai
Dumplings
Mapo cheese
Thanks Nom Wah!

Disappointing. Shrimp dumplings were good, but, like poster below, the chicken dumplings seemed weirdly mushy and undercooked. Ick. Food was very salty.
Echoing what the previous reviewer had said - I came into Nom Wah Nolita with high expectations. The employees were all very friendly when I walked in. I ordered the fried chicken dumplings and they looked great at first glance. Had a couple bites until I realized the texture was off. Looked at the filling and saw completely undercooked, pink, mushy chicken meat. Now (just like the previous reviewer) I’m also dealing with painful food poisoning. If you care about your health do not come to this establishment!

1st time eating at this location on Wednesday night (10/23/24). We choose this place because we were hungry, it was close and we had a good experience at pier57's nomwah, but unfortunately the experience was the same at the nolita location.
We ordered 2 crispy noodles with chicken & Chinese sausage, taro cake, and Phoenix buns. And tipped $2 before trying the food, which I regret. Everything was undercooked, soggy and super greasy. The chicken was flavorless & dry, and the Chinese sausage was too salty. The bun filling looks like there's food coloring in it (radioactive neon orange). The entire staff was laughing at us for paying for it and eating it at the restaurant (rude). The free water is tap, but they claim it was filtered (liars). After eating this awful meal, we got FOOD POISIONING for 5 days!
The floor of the restaurant was filthy, it made the sidewalk outside look really clean. Their bathroom has a strong smell of urine before opening the door. The entire interior of the restaurant feels sticky & greasy.
The only thing worse than paying for it, was eating it. =*(
This location should be shut down immediately!

Having been to the original restaurant, I went in with high expectations however aside from not having to wait the food is subpar. Being so close to Chinatown I would suggest go elsewhere if you like to try proper dim sum. The menu here is definitely more Americanized so to say and this extends to the vibe as well. Over all it’s average and nothing compares to the original, but still a fun place to introduce dim sum to unfamiliar crowd.
