There’s only one word to describe this place! TERRIBLE!

Don’t spend your money here! Horrible service! Bartenders/Waiters have nasty attitudes! Well I guess NOTHING REALLY MATTERS to them!

Great little speakeasy hidden away in the entry to the subway. Great decor and a super friendly bartender made for fun drinks. The gold coated coffee bean martini made with 1942 was really good. The martini flight was a good sampler and came in cool little glasses.

Absolutely amazing spot!
Service was perfect, great cocktails beautifully done. Atmosphere is just so cool and gives great low vibes.
It is not a party place, it is quite and let you talk. Calm lights and random disco flares set the mood. Excellent place, we definitely need it here.

Drinks were good and vibe was cool. Staff was friendly and attentive. I gave them candles and ordered a tiramisu and they bought it out for us to celebrate my daughter’s 21st birthday.

Took my fiancé here for her birthday -- super dope staff, great vibes & music, and fun/interesting drinks (albeit at Manhattan cocktail prices). We had an amazing time-- thank you!!!

Allie took great care of us for my birthday a few weeks ago. She has a fun vibe and really made our experience memorable! The drinks here are delicious, but strong so BEWARE. Music is a mix of R&B, Hip Hop, and even Pop. Very well rounded. Definitely a place for a crowd that’s aged 20+ though, which I loved 😊. Also, their bar is HUGE so great selection of spirits. My friends and I were a bit warm and felt the AC could’ve been cranked up a a bit, but this place is underground so, understandable that it would be a little warm. Will definitely go back!

Very relaxed atmosphere and excellent drinks make this a top choice. Went there for a thirtieth birthday party. Our waitress Mia was excellent. She was attentive to our table, fun to talk to, and gave us room to breathe. You get value for your drinks here. In a city where nearly every bar experience ends with you feeling ripped off, Nothing Really Matters gives you the best bang for your buck.

I had a great time at this bar with some friends. It’s so cool how it’s tucked away in the train, and it’s got some fun drinks. Also the service was great—Allie was super attentive, kind, and had a great convo with them!

Allie was amazing — truly made our experience great to us as out-of-towners! If you at visiting the area, or finding yourself here off the subway for a quick drink, Allie is the one to see! She made our trip meaningful and fun!

If you’re looking for overpriced drinks served with a side of attitude, this is your spot. From the second we arrived, the bouncer made us feel like we were an inconvenience instead of paying customers. Inside, the service barely existed — in nearly two hours, we were only asked twice if we wanted anything, and ended up with just two drinks total.

The real kicker came at the end: I was planning to leave a cash tip, but before I could, the manager walked over to confront me about not adding a tip on the card. Even after I explained, he pressed me again to leave one on the receipt. It wasn’t friendly — it was uncomfortable, awkward, and frankly, intimidating. I’ve since seen other recent reviews describing the exact same tactic, so clearly this is part of their playbook.

The atmosphere is wasted on terrible hospitality. Yes, the space is cool and the drinks are decent, but when you’re paying sky-high prices only to be hustled for more money by management, it leaves a bad taste in your mouth. This place doesn’t need trendier cocktails — it needs a complete overhaul in how it treats guests.

The place looked amazing and our server at the table was super nice and welcoming. Unfortunately, the bartender with dreads was really rude and unprofessional (bad attitude the whole time)
It ruined the experience for us.

Hidden beneath the hustle of Midtown Manhattan, Nothing Really Matters is a subterranean escape that redefines the speakeasy experience. Located inside the 50th Street subway station, this bar is more than just a novelty—it’s a masterclass in ambiance and mixology.
From the moment you descend into its vaporwave-inspired interior, you’re transported into a neon-lit dreamscape. The decor is sleek and moody, with a backlit bar that glows like a crystal altar and a disco ball that adds just the right touch of whimsy. It’s intimate without being claustrophobic, and the vibe is effortlessly cool.
The cocktail menu is where Nothing Really Matters truly shines. Head mixologist Cyllan crafts seasonal, inventive drinks that are as photogenic as they are flavorful. Standouts include the “Fearless Girl,” a pear-forward gin cocktail, and the smoky “Belmont,” a rum and spiced coffee concoction that’s perfect for adventurous palates. If you’re feeling bold, let the bartender freestyle—just be sure it’s a slow night.
Food options are minimal but thoughtful, ranging from bar snacks to caviar with crème fraîche. Pizzas can be ordered in from nearby spots Tuesday through Saturday, adding a casual touch to the upscale vibe. Whether you’re a cocktail connoisseur or just looking to shake up your commute, Nothing Really Matters is a must-visit. It’s not just a bar—it’s a hidden gem that proves sometimes, the best places are the ones you stumble upon underground
