Ok. It’s a good burger. But it wasn’t fantastic. The kimchi flavor could be much stronger. I think the patties could be juicer and less cooked. It almost wasn’t.. greasy? Enough?
If you want to try Nowon but don’t want to wait for a reservation, they’re on DoorDash. I just picked up a burger. It was actually well packaged which I appreciated.
They have gluten free burgers!! The gluten free bun was pretty decent. Still tastes gluten free, ofc, but it’s not that bad.

Maybe I’m old but the music was so loud😭 the rice cakes were PHENOMENAL. Everything on the EP prefix menu was delicious and a great value for the price.

The legendary burger was good, although I do think a little bit overhyped. Also enjoyed the garlic honey butter tater tots. Friendly staff and the atmosphere was a good sleek casual.

Nowon is reputed to have an incredible kimchi double cheeseburger. Having spent a good amount of time in Korea and a big fan of the cuisine, I was drawn to try such a legendary cheeseburger (which is also what it’s called).
Nowan is a cozy place with a lively and fun atmosphere. The music is pumping, although my companion found most of the lyrics to be incredibly offensive, as did the couple at the next table. But I was there for the food, so I enthusiastically ordered the Legendary Burger, of course. I had read some good things about it and I was anxious (and hungry) to try it. When it arrived it certainly passed the look test, as it was a beautiful piece of burger art! After a couple bites I thought it was a pretty good burger. For my taste I would have preferred more kimchi influence and generally stronger Korean seasonings. But that’s just my own preference. As it was, It wasn’t bad, and it’ll please most kimchi fans. They don’t use the spicier kimchi, which might be better for the majority of folks. Overall, not bad. They don’t serve fries, my preferred side when having a burger, but instead they offer tots. Not at all my thing, but I ordered the garlic and honey ones anyway, and I have to say they were slamin! The honey addition really made it pop. Definitely worth ordering as I don’t think I’ve ever had tots so delicious. In closing, while I may not have been overly impressed with their signature burger, I’m glad to have stopped in and tried their fare. The space is nice and the people are friendly and welcoming. I’m going to go back in the future and try the burger again. If you like things like gochujang and kimchi, then give this place a try.

Legendary cheeseburger was tasty, although the patty could be seasoned a little better - parts of the patty that didn’t have sauce on it was kinda bland. Enjoyed the honey butter tater tots a lot
Service was attentive and great, but man the restaurant’s loud.

We were really excited to try this place, and unfortunately it just wasn’t for us. I’ll preface by saying the service is lovely and it’s a well run establishment, we just weren’t a fan of the food.
We tried the set menu and were surprised at how small the portions were considering paying around 75 / person ( after tax & tip ). I thought we would all get our own dish but we ended up splitting everything which at the point we would definitely have opted to get just the burger. For the food, ricotta toast was nice but nothing crazy. After that we really just didn’t enjoy anything (the chopped cheese rice cakes were a big pass, we didn’t touch the tater tots as they were drenched in a bad sauce, and it was so odd that the Caesar veggies were lukewarm?). The dessert really wasn’t it either. Burger was good but not worth the hype in our opinion.
A shame, we wouldn’t come back but if the food sounds good in your mind you may like it! Just definitely not our preference. The ambiance is very « unique » as well…

Amazing food horrible service waitress gave a lot of attitude for no reason and even over charged us by double and tried to not say anything then admitted she noticed and just didn’t say anything . Food was great though
