Came to nowon because I hear great reviews about the burger. Was immediately greeted at the door by the manager gene he was warm and inviting and immediately sat us. We were then greeted by the server who was knowledgeable and extremely patient with all our questions. We settled on the tasting and it did not disappoint. Our table was touched numerous times and the experience was overall great. The server was amazing and gene went and above and beyond to accolade our allergies. They made us a special mock tail and there version of the espresso martini did not disappoint . I will be back for sure! Thanks for the amazing hospitality!
Loved this place! One of our favorites during our trip to NYC and the East Village. We tried the 7 course tasting menu to experience a much as possible since it was our first time. We’d likely order ala carte if we went back, but the tasting menu is still a lot of food and is decently priced for NYC. Everything was delicious with the burger and broccoli sticking out!
This place is NOT fit for takeout or delivery orders. 50 min for 1 BURGER & 2 sides is UNACCEPTABLE even during the peak time. If you are understaffed to keep up with orders just close the damn thing and keep it in-person only and stop wasting other people's time! At least servers were nice and felt bad with me. Such an amateur manager/owner

I sat at the bar and ate and it was quite delicious. The Legendary Something Burger was the most delicious, and the black sesame cream brûlée served for dessert was also delicious. The atmosphere was nice and the staff were friendly.

Lower price for a tasting menu then anywhere else. This is because it's bar food, but still. The food was good but not amazing. I liked the chopped cheese rice cakes because I like rice cakes, and the honey butter tater tots were delightfully crispy. The burger was fine, I wish there was more kimchi taste. The black sesame creme brulee was my favorite.
The music was pretty loud and I think it was a little too dim. It was interesting to try this place but I probably wouldn't come back.

My husband and I were excited to try this place out yet it was a huge letdown. After few hours of our dinner, we have gotten super sick with multiple symptoms of food poisoning from this place. It completely ruined our trip to nyc. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

The food and atmosphere were amazing! I especially enjoyed the chopped cheese rice cakes, and the legendary burger was incredible. Our server, Alex, was super friendly and made excellent recommendations. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Food was amazing but the management clearly has issues. Not sure what’s going on but they weren’t filling tables on a Friday night despite people waiting tables sat empty and then they didn’t bring out all food to my table or the guests next to us. I’ll probably still go back bc I liked it and had a good time but I’d make a reservation next time

First of all everything we ate was really good but will say the tater tots with honey butter and the kimchi fried rice were the stars of the food we ate… we had the Korean fried chicken both wars… good but have had better, the legendary burger was pretty legendary. Black Sesame Crème Brûlée was also delicious. We did a few flight a shiyu and the Seoul Night was the best along with the grapefruit infused version.
Atmosphere was hip and restaurant was super busy so you must make a reservation a few weeks out. Service was also great.
Super yummy food, cool restaurant. I got the Classic 7 course menu and enjoyed every part of it, especially the rice cakes, burger and friend chicken. ? Only complaint was how incredibly loud the music was. You had to yell to hear your friends across the table during.

Nowon’s is such a great experience from the food to the staff. Even the bathroom is such a vibe, feels like you’re transformed into a club, there’s a disco ball & great music! We went for my birthday dinner and ordered the rice cakes, fried chicken, the legendary burger and shroom noodles. My favorite dish was the noodles (great flavor profiles 10/10) and burger (so juicy 10/10)! For dessert we had the pear pena cotta, so smooth and tastes like fall.
Highly recommend you visit the East Village location. The staff is so amazing and they answer any questions or if you’re in between dishes! They made my birthday so special and memorable.
