They didn't honor my reservation, did not offer a choice of wines when ordering at the bar and was charged $40.00 per glass without any option. Finally seated at a table after a 30 minute wait, not being advised of a time limit and a waiter actually came to me and said you have 20 minutes left. The funny thing is, the place wasn't crowded. Not my first time here but for sure my last time. It was a total joke and major disappointment. Don't waste your time or money

Incredibly disappointing service- weren't seated even with a reservation after a day spent trying to get in touch with the restaurant. We ended up just leaving.

The ambiance, views, service, and quality of small plates make this one of my new favorite spots for cocktails in New York.

I rarely have ever have left a negative review on a restaurant. Mainly because I feel like servers try to do the best they can and as long as the food is satisfactory, I don't dwell on the negative. However, this was a very expensive tea experience that did not live up to the price. First of all this is at the Ritz. Any Ritz should have a very high level of service and that was not the case for our tea experience on Sunday. I think our server was oversight, but we had to ask several times for basic things like teaspoons and sugar when our teapot was brought. Also, the whole room is basically in the path of the setting sun. Our reservation was at 2:30 and by 3 o'clock - We were all in sunglasses. There were Roman shades that could've been lowered, but I asked if that was a possibility and the server simply said “no we would have to lower them all if that's the case”. Everyone was squinting and everybody was blinded. I know this happens every day so I cannot understand for the life of me why they would not have an automated shade situation. You're in a rooftop bar facing West. Not enjoyable. This was very pricey per person and the service did not match that. The tea was brought up over without any cream, sugar or spoons. The food came about 25 minutes later. The one saving grace is that everything we were served was absolutely delicious. If this had been a nighttime event and a situation where we could've all seen our food and enjoyed it, It would've definitely gotten more than two stars overall. We have done tease in a few cities all over the world, and so I know sort of what to expect. I would not recommend this experience.

We came here for High Tea for the holidays. This place is certainly for ‘the gram'. It's trendy and picturesque however it lacked warmth. The service was slow and not attentive. If it wasn't for the manager/matre'd (I wish I got her name) we wouldn't have received any attention. The savories and sweets were good. Maybe this place is better suited as a cocktail place but I would not recommend it for High Tea. Head to either Lady Mendl's or the Baccarat hotel instead.

For High Tea we were seated 45 minutes late, for no apparent reason, and then it took another 45 minutes to get any food. Hostess and server apologized, but made no gesture whatsoever for the long weight. At the price of $680 for four, absolutely unacceptable. Food was fine, nothing special, except the $25 grilled cheese which was very good.

Lovely holiday tea experience great service wonderful view, love to go there so tasty we added caviar to our tea experience and it was great, can't wait until next year

Pre paid for reservation but was sat an hour late. Service was poor: water was slow, and service didn't come with cream, sugar, jam, or clotted cream. Food was fine at best but mostly dry and flavor could have been better. Views are nice.

Great view and vibe! However I don't drink and I felt like my waiter wasn't really helping me find something I could drink. I wish I would have felt more service from my waiter

The drinks were not good... a sweet vesper martini? The views are good IF they sit you at the window, otherwise is a regular bar

Between my partner and I we tried 4 cocktails - half of them were good and quite unique, the other half were nothing special. We didn't eat anything on the menu, but the tables around us had gotten food and admittedly it didn't look that appetizing. The venue is obviously stunning. Service was inconsistent, our primary waiter didn't return to the table often, and then half way through it supposedly switched but then the original guy returned? It was confusing.

Made a reservation for 745 and they made me wait 30 minutes, they only gave me a table after asking 3 times for an update. Didn't even offer anything in return. Sat down various parties that came in after mine, way before me.

Beautiful view and decor. Sadly that was the best of our experience. Our waiter was MIA. 35 min to take food order. Had to constantly be asking other waiters for water and next drinks.... Sadly the bad reviews online proved accurate. Place could be great but they are lacking in service quality. Drinks fair. Food bites good quality but took forever. Worse part is the manger on duty didn't care at all about our concerns and ignored the complaint from us.

Everything is good, except food serving. I do not like they way they put potato chips in the bag (not on a dish or something) to serve on tha table.

Super slow service, once we ordered it took 30 minutes to get a drink. Not the servers fault, but just a precaution! As we almost missed our dinner reservation.
