Was greeted with a smile and ordered a sandwich and coffee and sat with many locals and just enjoyed the company.

I used to love this place but as the prices continue to rise into outrageous new heights and the staff continues to be unwelcoming and unfriendly (not to mention the male employee crouching behind the counter and vaping) I won’t be coming back. So much potential but the unfriendly staff really was the last straw for me. Please train your employees to be more welcoming and not make us feel lame and annoying just for ordering a coffee.

Ocafe is a charming local venue where one can unwind and enjoy a delicious cup of coffee. I truly value Ocafe for its substantial contribution to the neighborhood and its enhancement of New York City's lively cafe scene.

The atmosphere here is fantastic! I relished a matcha latte while savoring the vibe. With numerous tables and plenty of outlets, it’s an ideal place to work for a few hours. The best time to find a spot is between 10am and 12pm. By arriving just before 9am, I managed to snag a side table, as the café soon filled up.
Unfortunately, I spilled my latte on my laptop, but the staff were incredibly helpful. They assisted with the cleanup and even gave me a new latte at no extra cost.

THE BEST LENTIL SOUP IN TOWN. (only reason I'd go there)

They don't have wifi, charging outlets don't work. Would not come here if you're trying to work.

The prices are quite steep. The lentil salad was essentially just lentils, chickpeas, feta, and paprika. It was overpriced for the portion size and not worth the cost. The lemon almond polenta cake, priced at $6, was small but tasty, albeit expensive.
There's no Wi-Fi, but the free NYClink works well.
They offer a variety of gluten-free options, such as cheese bread.
Overall, I was not impressed and found it quite expensive.

I’ve lived near O Cafe for 5 years and now that I’ve moved I can finally speak my truth… this place smells. Horrible. If you like smelling like rotten stinky cheese balls, then you’ve found your spot. However, if you don’t then steer clear. I honestly don’t understand why they freshly bake these disgustingly smelly cheeseballs on premises. Just make them elsewhere and bring them in a plastic container to sell to the customers that actually buy them.Furthermore, my wife and I have tried to be friendly for 5 years…. We even had a kid during this time and would bring him in almost every day. Not a single smile from the uptight baristas and cashiers… my son is adorable and would say hi every day and they wouldn’t even flinch.Lastly, a latte for $8… $6.50 for a cold brew. $1 for alternative milk. Come. On. We went for convenience of living 1 block away but now that Travelers & Poets opened down the block, we’ve taken our morning routine elsewhere.I write this review now that we’ve moved and we will face no retribution from this honest review… I added the extra star because I happen to like their apple carrot muffin and scone. And their ambiance is kind of kindergarten classroom cute - but it smells worse somehow.

I’m very sad to say this place has disappointed me and I never expected it! I love their Chocolate Chia Banana Smoothie and I went for one today at 4pm, 2 hours before they close. When I ordered my Smoothie, the girl at the register told me the kitchen was closing and they couldn’t prepare it. A smoothie! An item that you just need a blender for their preparation, that’s it. I’m very, very sad. I hope posting this, helps them to reconsider what products their offer and from when to when.
Got the bahia latte and it was quite good. Also got the ricotta toast. We added extra honey to it and that made it really goodWent back another time to try to work but there’s no wifi. Anyways, good space to hang though. Got the iced matcha
$6 cappuccino. $6 tiny piece of zucchini bread. Nope. I walked right out and went to Moshava just 3 blocks down. $3.75 cappuccino beautifully made in the loveliest cafe. (I think folks stopped looking at prices that's a dollar a sip)
