The food here is excellent, the staff is clearly well trained in the art of hospitality, and the ambiance is chic. I wouldn't say it's a place for a fun girls night out, but it's an elevated experience and I'd recommend for pre theatre or business meal. Dover sole was out of this world! Also, we didn't order dessert (because we were so full) but they quickly brought one out to wish me a happy birthday anyway. So kind
This is one of my favorite restaurants in NYC. It is elegant and charming. The food is super fresh. I had the shaved vegetable salad and my friend had the beet salad - both were delicious. We also both had the scallops. The scallops were cooked just right with a slight char on the outside and moist and tender on the inside. The rose wine was a nice accompaniment to salad and dinner.
We had reservations here on a Friday evening around 7:30pm and the restaurant was mostly empty. We had eaten here before, and it was not the same experience. The restaurant was more brightly lit. Patrons were very casual. Lots of empty seats. Service was very good. Our server did his best to work with the kitchen to make small changes to entrees to accommodate my husband's allergies.
