Great location right next to Bryant park. Cardamom bun was delicious; birds who scavenged crumbs seemed to agree.

Absolutely one the of the best bakeries in NYC, all delicious! The most surprising is their basic brownie - it will make you check yourself with judging a book by its cover, BEST brownie 🤎

Good croissants, but easily the worst coffee I've tasted in my entire life.

Premade sandwiches are always a gamble but the turkey baguette was delicious! They toasted it, and that pesto and aioli are delicious. I also tried the strawberry tart, which I really loved, though it wasn’t cheap. The cinnamon bun wasn’t worth the calories. Dried out by the end of the day and the frosting was minimal and hardened. The iced tea and latte were good. The physical flow is a little off but it’s a good place to hang for a while. WiFi was a bit wonky. That tiny round pillow running across the back wall has got to go—impossible to use the wall as a chair back.

Not a smile in this place. Grumpy frowns given by people who don’t want to work here. Tables were very dirty. Won’t be back!

Ole & Steen - A Cozy Stop for Danish Treats and Coffee

Ole & Steen offers a charming blend of traditional Danish baking with a warm and inviting atmosphere. Their menu features a variety of freshly baked goods, from their famous Cinnamon Social™ pastry to other sweet treats and artisanal breads that are hard to resist. It’s a great spot to grab a bite or enjoy a relaxing coffee.

The coffee itself is enjoyable and pairs well with the pastries, though it’s not the main highlight. The quality is decent, but if you’re a fan of strong coffee, it might lean on the mild side. Overall, Ole & Steen is worth a visit for its delicious pastries and welcoming vibe, making it a nice break from the city’s hustle.

On October 2, 2024 we discovered Ole & Steen by chance while looking for a morning coffee and breakfast. My companion knew the bakery from a vacation in Copenhagen / Denmark. In terms of price, it was a little more expensive: we paid $12.41 for 2 coffees and $23.09 for 3 pieces (rolls with salmon and the 2 in the photo). But everything was so delicious that it was worth every penny. In addition, you could sit very comfortably at tables/on sofas and chairs in the store (which is not possible everywhere in New York). Therefore, definitely a recommendation.

A fast-turning place where you can guarantee the variety and taste of bread, bread and coffee are both top-ranked

Not very respectful to customers - food and drinks should be picked up at different counters, so you should wait in two queues instead of one!

Service is so bad. The pickup people have no idea what items are together or for different people

Somewhat great bakery goods, but horrible coffee. We ordered an oat flat white (came out as a filter coffee with a dash of milk) and an almond cappuccino (came out as a tasteless coffee without any foam on it) both coffees lukewarm ??‍♂️
