Absolute hidden gem. 10/10

Had a belated birthday dinner here last night with my gal friends and it was everything I could’ve hoped for.

This was my first omakase experience! From the hot towel, to the ambiance and service, I felt cared for.

We each did the $65 omakase and it was more than enough food. The sushi was so fresh and creative.

My friends really enjoyed the sweeter sakes and next time I’ll be partaking in a glass myself. The Yuza sake is so delicious.

I will be back and highly recommend this place! Thanks for the hospitality.

There are few times I’ve had sushi and thought it fit 3 different categories, great food, great ambiance and feel and at a very reasonable price. This place is it. We choose the premier omakase and added some extras so we were a little over $150 pp but we could have easily done it for less than $100. Unfortunately I have to fly back home because if not I would come here at least 2 times a month. Truly a great experience.

Such a fun omakase dinner! The chefs were not only incredibly skilled but also hilarious, making the entire experience as entertaining as it was delicious. The sushi rice was warm and perfectly seasoned, and each piece of fish melted in my mouth like butter. I especially loved the salmon and the super fatty tuna—both were absolute standouts. Honestly, I can’t think of a single piece I didn’t enjoy. Plus, for the quality you’re getting, this omakase is one of the best deals in town. Run, don’t walk, to check it out—you won’t regret it!

People, this place is the reel deal. Get it? Like reel like fishing and it’s a sushi place?!
Ok but seriously, this place is authentic and 10/10 experience from start to finish. We celebrated my husband’s birthday and splurged. Got an awesome bottle of Homare sake and did the premium omakase line up right at the sushi counter. From start to finish, beautiful presentation and impeccable service. The restaurant was perfect to celebrate an intimate occasion. It was quiet and peaceful, and we were well cared for. Each fish was fresh and prepared traditionally with no frills. The quality of the fish speaks for itself. I did my best to capture each course but it got too yummy and I got distracted. We will absolutely be back here. A delightful experience. Our waitress was kind and so attentive but not too much - clearly a pro. Our sushi chef was very present and made the experience fun and custom to our needs. Don’t think twice! It’s expensive so not a super regular thing but perfect for a special night out. Book this for your next celebration!

I wrote this review months ago and never finished it. I have to admit this was my first Omakase experience. From start to finish the everything was impeccable. Our waitstaff was super attentive and constantly filling our water cup.

The restaurant was very bright, clean and with few seats.

My favorite was the Donberi and Otoro. My girl friend doesn't love uni so I got to have all of hers. The plating highlighted the fish.

We agreed this experience would be a place to revisit every 3-6 months so our wallets can recover lol.

Amazing chef and staff!!

I came here for my graduation lunch. Due to severe traffic, I was late ~15-20ish minutes, and thought that they would cancel my reservation. However, the staff were so accommodating and nice about it, and even congratulated me several times! The chef was very cheery and the food was amazing. My dad gets nauseous when eating raw fish, and when we told the chef he made sure to give my dad separate cuts that he torched.

Overall, 10/10 experience and was well worth the price. We were the only people there, which made the dining experience private and feel even more special. Would definitely come again!

Everything was high quality, especially for the very affordable price. One of the best parts was how happy the chef appeared while making the sushi - made every piece with a smile.

Think the lunch is really worth it, the dinner is a bit expensive but still good. The meal takes about two hours so the pacing is a bit slower than what I prefer

Came here for a birthday celebration, and can’t say enough good things. Extremely friendly and attentive staff, and the best omakase I’ve had in the city. And surprisingly good portions for price. All around, highly recommend for a special occasion.

Definitely a hidden gem on the upper east side. My friend and I had their lunch omakase and the experience exceeded my expectations. The omakase is priced at only $55 (and now from Mon-Thurs they have summer special for only $45), and you can a variety of super fresh fish, including many pieces from Japan. The seasoning is just right and you taste the freshness of fish. We ordered Uni as an additional and it was very good! The ice cream dessert is definitely a great way to finish the meal. Will come back more regularly and try their dinner menu as well.
