'Twas a pleasant experience. Itamae DC made my experience a good one as this omakase dinner was one to remember with the unique and innovative courses that I have never had before. This was the first time I had potato chips on any of my omakase courses. Fish was fresh and exceptionally prepared. Atmosphere was different from other restaurants like this, but that is okay. Getting out of my comfort zone - that's our purpose of living, right?Itamae DC was down to earth and made conversation, which made me feel very welcomed during my dinner here. Prices are reasonable for experiences like this in the city.

My friend and I have been going out for Omakase regularly the last two years, on the hunt for the very best in the city. Our focus has primarily been on the newer, lesser known and more reasonably priced options --and Omakase Sushi by No Name is perhaps the very best experience we've had to date.DC, the chef/owner, is nothing short of an artist---scoring 11/10 on both presentation and vibrant, original and nuanced flavor combinations. Every piece was made with so much love.Service was exceptional, Raina (not Reina), the hostess, giving detailed descriptions prior to each piece and answering our questions about where certain things were sourced. My friend and I are usually hush-hush on what we love, knowing a good review is like a clarion call...and fearing we will one day not be able to get a seat or that the place will become unbearably packed. But DC and No Name deserves this shout out. They've only been open for a year, and they should be on the map already as an absolute must for Omakase lovers.

Great omakase. Fun/unique pieces. And head chef was very friendly and welcoming. Loved it.

Came on a Friday and had a lovely time. Seating was limited so I loved the intimate vibe. Standout pieces were definitely the stacked toro and the seared wagyu. I also loved how there were a couple of pieces with uni - I especially enjoyed it on top of the crab. Rice was a bit too cold and dry though.. maybe cause it was already later on in the night? But the fish was still solid and this spot is one of the better omakases I've been to.

Came here for my birthday dinner and it was perfect. Walking in didn't know what to expect, but It was my first omakase experience and it was delicious! Service was attentive. Chef handmade each dish with care. We really loved it!

This is now our favorite omakase joint in NYC! It was so innovative and played with different flavors and textures. Chef is Japanese and French trained and incorporated both into his sushi pieces. He smokes his salmon in house, uses fried leaves, and uses fresh imported fish from Japan. We got the 13 course but will definitely be back for the 17 course. We have been to fine omakase establishments across Asia but Omakase No Name truly deserves a Michelin star as they are on the caliber of these other omakase places. Not to mention that the price is highly reasonable for what you get.

Delicious sushi. Chef is awesome, makes all his own accompaniments for the sushi. Fish was very fresh as well. Service was also great. We did both the 13 and 17 course omakase. Wasabi beef powder and squid ink foam are some of the very unique things that pair well with their respective pieces. Intimate seating, counter holds 12 and there are a couple of tables. Keeps the noise down and comfortable. Just go here and eat their food. Stop reading this and just go.

It was mediocre overall. Flavor was flat and their nigiri sushis were so small. Ambience was alright. Service was fine. Compared to other omakase places we have been that are similar in terms of price, this place falls short. I don't know why others are giving 4 or 5 stars. I wouldn't recommend.
