Malcolm and the chef were excellent. I changed my reservation last minute and both were happy to accommodate. The macaroni and cheese was amazing and the oxtails were very flavorful.
Omar's Kitchen and Rum Bar has an amazing aesthetic and serves truly authentic Jamaican food. The brown stew snapper and codfish fritters are staples for me every time I visit..they never disappoint. The service is excellent, and the food and drinks are always on point. If you're looking for great vibes and incredible Caribbean cuisine, this is definitely a place you need to check out.

Small authentic Caribbean based restaurant. Cool vibes, and good music playing but not super loud. The waiters were friendly. However the guy that greeted us at the door looked at us like we were crazy when we said we had a reservation lol. Food was mostly good just the rice could have been cooked some more. Fritters and Jerk goat ribs were delicious. Drinks were great! Overall, I'll give it 3.5/5 stars.
First time trying Omars (as a trini it’s hard to find good Caribbean food) but they did not disappoint. Ordered sliders, ribs, jerk chicken and oxtail. Everything was 10/10 (the lamb was maybe an 8 for me as it was a bit too crispy for my liking) but honestly still so delicious. Will definitely be going again
Came here for my cousin's birthday dinner. The staff was super accommodating, quick, and welcoming. The food and drinks were great. I'll be back!

Food was great, got the Honey Appleton wings, fried chicken, rice and peas with curry gravy and plantains. Personally didn’t like the rice, but it wasn’t bad, more of a preference thing and the plantains were thicker than I prefer, but cooked just right. They used boneless thighs for the fried chicken, which I thought was a solid trade off

So this my third time at Omar's this week and as a Ghanaian who loves food this is my favorite Jamaican restaurant. The jerk salmon and the rice and peas is my favorite and always order that. The server Olivia was pleasant, smiling and always made sure our water and drinks was refilled. The wait for the food always short and the music and vibes there makes the experience much better.

10/10. If you come here, please order the red snapper or the parrot fish. Flavors go crazy here and the presentation is perfection. Definitely the type of place where the ambience adds to the to the authenticity of the cuisine.

The best Jamaican food in NYC! Hands down!! The food was omgggggg delicious, felt like I was sitting in Jamaica. The vibes, the service, the staff was all top tier and treated my family like family!!! We drove up from philly and happened to stumble across this hidden gem and we drove back the next day and the food tasted even better!!! For sure my new Jamaican spot when I’m in the city no questions asked!!!! THANKS AGAIN OMAR!

What a nice gem of a restaurant. Friend had placed reservation for her birthday and it was a pleasant surprise what a nice spot she had chosen. Food was delicious. I've had brown stew salmon with rice and friend had tamrin salmon. No grain of rice was left behind. And the staff overheard it was my friends surprise and upon us leaving they brought her a surprise birthday cake which was an amazing gesture from the restaurant. Loved it there!
