Oramen serves an amazing, no frills katsu sando. The cutlet is always freshly fried, the shredded cabbage offers a cool contrast to the warm cutlet, and the soft milk bread always has the crust removed. They stick to the script and they do it very well! Though the quality of some of their other dishes, like the shumai, have wavered over the years, the katsu sando has never disappointed me.
Oramen is also good for affordable sushi rolls. They are great for when I am craving sushi, but something less fancy than a full omakase meal.

The atmosphere and the service are great. I have tried the Duck Shoyu Ramen which had a greasy taste so I don’t recommend it. The pork gyoza was very nice!

Wait staff and food are both consistently wonderful. Great, cozy spot to grab dinner and know it's going to be delicious without any fuss. Miso black cod donburi bowl and the agedashi tofu are particularly stellar.

I love the food here been my second time coming, until tonight me and husband and kids decide to get a quick meal… the server forgot one of our order and he was totally rude.. he wanted the tip before we pay the bill.. they want a $20 tip for 60 dollar order … we aren’t wealthy we just wanted to enjoy our food and tip what we can and the server was so rude and disgusting and saying it’s technically mandatory to give 18% and next time come with more money.. I also noticed he was laughing with the manager about it so unprofessional made my family super uncomfortable… we ask for a manager and she was no better saying “oh the way our system is..and we get complained when we get a low tip.. so greed never had a experience like this in my life never going back.

Cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Lunch specials are a good deal. Had some gyoza and full ramen bowl for only 22$. The food was incredibly delicious. I usually don't finish a whole bowl myself but it was just that good. Staff is friendly and attentive to their guests. 100% recommend this place.

We found the restaurant by chance while walking through the neighborhood, and we were surprised by how delicious the ramen was and that they also had cocktail options. Very good choice!

One of my favorite places to frequent. The food is amazing but my favourite dishes are their Shoyu Ramen, Chicken buns, their sushi made at the bar. You can sit and watch your dinner being prepared at the bar or catch a glimpse of them preparing the entree /large plate meals via an open facing kitchen. The cohesiveness of the front staff and the kitchen makes s huge difference - it looks like it's a very warm and welcoming environment hence the food reflects this sentiment. The drinks are also quite stellar with a wide selection of Sake, imported beer, speciality soft drinks from Asia and more. Their lychee martini is hands down my favourite - quite indulgent but very refreshing.
You should go here. Often.

The food was great. Me and my husband enjoyed the food. Service was ok, I don't appreciate someone hovering by while I eat. I damn sure don't appreciate questioning the amount of a tip I give. When giving a tip the receiver should be thankful for what they get. For those of your wondering I gave a 3$ tip which was the change, and I was questioned as if that would make me want to give more NOPE! However if I do return it would be for take out only.

they made me order a lunch special and then never got the appetiser because i had a to go order. way too expensive for the quality
After a long, rainy Saturday morning in Central Park, my group of two decided to head to Chelsea for lunch. After doing some research on Yelping, we picked this place. It was great! When we walked in, we were immediately taken aback by the modern decor. The place looked very spacious. And even though there were a lot of people eating, we were seated right away. As soon as we were seated, the waitress greeted us. Our drinks were served very quickly (my Sapporo was the perfect temperature!). Our appetizers and ramen were also delivered on time.
The octopus snack was delicious. I was surprised to see that they still retained the flavor of the octopus and other toppings after frying. The Shoyu noodles I had there were definitely the best I've ever had. The flavors were amazing! The pork was great and the noodles were cooked to perfection. My dining companion ordered the spicy chicken noodles, which were also delicious.
Although we weren't planning on doing so, we decided to order mochi for dessert. I've never been a fan of fruit desserts, but the mango mochi won me over. Of course I intend to come back here.
