This place was suggested by a friend so we headed down to try it. The food was great, the staff was friendly. I was shocked we were only of two tables filled (hopefully that was cause it was like 4pm and too early for dinner and too late for lunch). But this was a great place to eat.

One of our absolute favorite Italian restaurants. We make sure to stop every single time we're in the city and we always take jars of sauce to go to.

Great food and old school NY atmosphere. Been coming here 64 years and it's the only place I eat when I visit NYC. Ask for Mike and tell him Wayne sent you. Sit at the counter

Double shrimp, hot! I've been frequenting this joint since 1967, when the entrance was on the corner. Never had a bad meal here!

This has been a traditional family celebration spot for decades. They fra diavolo is amazing. Shrimp balls are giant and filling. Great veal parm. But it is al about the hot red sauce for me. Nothing like it anywhere else in the city - and they sell it by the jar!

The food was different than the one on Long Island in Carle place. Food was good but was expecting it to be similar to Carle place location. Menu was smaller too. Outdoor seating we were bothered by people who wanted us to be fake designer handbags which was annoying.
Very friendly staff, no Italian spoken, food not so tasty, restaurant almost empty at 1 PM on a Sunday with great weather, if you sit outside you will be approached by Chinese fake stuff salespeople. We were disappointed.

Amazing food! Our group had eggplant parm, ravioli and penne a la vodka. Pasta was cooked perfectly and portions were huge.
