Specifically called them to reserve for 2 people with a stroller for an off peak time. They accepted the reservation and said the stroller could be accommodated, but when we arrived they refused service on account of it.
Incredibly poor showing and bad service. Live nearby but will not come here again.

Service was attentive and very friendly. Full disclosure: I’m not much for French food generally so I went for the burger which was excellent. The artichoke appetizer was delicious with its balsamic dressing. Others raved about the cheese soufflé, French onion soup and escargot. Desert of the day was toffee pudding. Loved that it was not too sweet.

We were used and abused by a group of around 60 people suddenly coming into the restaurant for drinks. We tried to leave but they advised the food was ready. After all the remaining of the tables left, we decided it was impossible to have a bite and also left. We couldn’t continue eating. You would hope management would have had some empathy but instead, they blamed it on the holiday. We paid our bill and left knowing we would never come back again given the manager Olivier was so unprofessional, proud of himself and unable to take any accountability. Note for owners and patrons. Place to avoid

Orsay has been around forever. It melds UES pretense with supposed old-school French brasserie fare. It's a neighborhood restaurant, serving lightning speed very expensive food, with daily specials and day-of-the-week specials. My husband likes Mondays, as a slab of rare beef washed down with their Isle Flottante dessert makes his week more complete. I don't. Yes, you can get escargots floating in garlic butter, but sorry, you can't get a decent baguette on the side with that. Pate? Sure. French onion soup? Why not. And a $31 hamburger? It IS the Upper East Side after all. Service beats the speed of sound, so please don't linger, they will get you out FAST. And a propos sound, it's noisy, so don't plan on having a deep conversation. In short: he likes it for it's traditions. I don't.

Extremely noisy. Very crowded. Can’t carry on a conversation due to the noise level. Food was good, but how can a French restaurant serve bread without also serving butter? At this place, you have to ask for butter.

To Fabrice (our kind French waiter) - merci and obrigado! Fantastic brunch Sunday afternoon with my teenage daughter. Bread, butter, French onion soup, salad nicoise, chocolate mousse and coffee! Superb!

We came upon Orsay after we visited the Frick. We had a wonderful late lunch there. . Our waiter Vlad was attentive, friendly, smiling, and added so much delight to our meal. The food was delicious… I had the vegetarian curry cauliflower and my husband ordered the chicken salad. Both were artfully prepared and very tasteful. The special meringue dessert was over-the-top amazing.
Note: It be challenging to find a restaurant with other people in it at 3 PM mid-week on the Upper East Side. We had a reservation at another place, but the restaurant was empty and so we left. Orsay had a nice crowd and it felt lively

It is always a delight to dine at Orsay. This past Sunday evening my husband and I had dinner with our son and his wife and as always, we all enjoyed the scrumptious food, atmosphere and our excellent server, Jeana who is beyond great. Jeana continually checked on us, has an incredible memory (as she spoke the entire menu to us!) and has a warm, friendly personality. Our compliments to Orsay and Jeana for a wonderful evening.

Best steak and fries ever, with unbeatable value! Greetings from Singapore. Paired really well with their Bordeaux. Fantastic service to split our portions.

Couldn't be happier with our brunch choice. We stopped in without a reservation, and they kindly accommodated us. We frequent Paris a few times a year, and this restaurant-- from hostess to manager to servers to clientele-- all made us feel like we were in Paris. Beautiful yet understated. Elegant and not arrogant. Reservations highly recommended if weekend brunch, as every table is occupied. Outdoor seating as well. Food-- delectable and they prepare everything to perfection. Perfect temperature, perfect seasonings... beautiful presentation. Our new 'go to' spot. Could tell there were many 'regulars.'
