I am forever on the quest to find the most delicious jelly filled donut, and Orwashers is definitely a contender! They pipe it in right when you order. Loved it. Definitely recommend!

I got some rainbow cookies and the black&white cookies. The bag, unfortunately, was defective, and everything fell out on the way home. Christine/Kristine was so incredibly sweet, and she replaced my order and added an extra jam cookie for me. The cookies were also so delectable. I'll definitely be going back to get some more as gifts.

Maybe I had a bad day this morning, I thought I would enjoy a good coffee with my bagel, but I was treated with attitude, maybe because of my Hispanic race, the universe is One, there is no other, let's leave racism aside, even worse when you go for a service where you pay, even if it's free, to the owners I want you to know that they should change the staff with attitude towards the customers, if they care about the years they built this business, it was at 308 East 78th Street at 8:45 am today, June 18, 2025, I will return to see if racism still exists with the staff

One of the very best bakeries in the city. I go for the Rye and challah loaves of bread, as well as the many delicious pastries. The staff are welcoming, friendly, and they listen carefully.
Vegetarian options: It's a bakery, so there are many non-meat offerings.
Their baked goods are amazing and I’ve been going here for years, but their staff has accidentally overcharged me a few too many times for my liking. The Sunday surprise cookie, morning roll, sticky bun, California bagel sandwich, and chocolate chip scone keep me going there.

Pastries are fantastic. Croissants, brownies, chocolate chip cookies, and the chocolate shell stuffed donuts (we do raspberry jelly but all are amazing) are musts.
Bagels are 10/10 and so are the bialys if you’re into that. Can’t recommend a local bakery more than Orwasher’s.

Firstly, they have friendly service and a decent selection of breads and pastries.
We bought a full loaf of pumpernickel, which was $12+, and oatmeal raisin cookie at $4.50, and a lemon pound cake slice for $4.
Bread - decent tasting but lacking rich flavour like other bakeries. Also a full loaf is small making this very expensive. Was not super soft.
Cookie - I enjoyed this as it wasn’t too sweet. Rustic style. More raisins would help.
Lemon Cake - Possibly one of the least desirable lemon cakes I’ve had. Dense, dry, sour. I did not finish it.
Good service but their bakes are not for me.
