This is a nice cafe. The muffin was delish. The tea, hot. The seating cozy. Rather, then sitting on the bench or club chair I chose the table next to the window. Great music. I love the plants. Give it such a wholesome vibe. The staff is cool. Very accommodating. They prefer that you use cash but cards are accepted.

I used to go here a lot but recently I think I have to change spots. Ok coffee, patronizing baristas time and time again. If you want to spend $6 to be treated badly, definitely go here!

Really friendly barista, super nice and greeted us immediately. Had an iced latte with regular milk and really liked it. Lately lots of cafes in NYC have been brewing either really burnt or too acidic coffees. Not Ost Cafe - could tell they used great beans, and the roast was just right. Coffee was strong but not bitter, you could tell you were drinking coffee, not a milk latte. Glad I finally stopped by to try it out. Not a ton of tables inside, but wasn’t too busy on a Saturday morning.

The barista was very nice. But the caramel cold brew I ordered was one of the worst I’ve ever had. It tasted like watered down cold coffee, no caramel flavor, had to throw it out. Very disappointing.

The ambience is chill and eclectic. I enjoyed my mocha with oatmilk, though it was a bit too sweet for me. Around 2 PM on a weekday, service is rather quick.

Decided to come here while waiting for my dog’s grooming to be done. Place is cozy with lovely interiors however, the vibe was not cozy at all. Could’ve been more welcoming but ever felt like you enter a clique’s territory and you’re there as an outsider ‘in a sarcastic Are you lost?’ kind of way?I thought it was just me but having read the comments, there seems to be a pattern lately. I appreciate community and neighborhood closeness but what about those who just walk in?

Great little place out in south of Manhattan. Very dog friendly and most people don’t mind sharing a table. The baristas are very knowledgeable and affable and talked with me about television. It’s also warm inside and they let you use the bathroom if you get coffee.

Had the most incredible experience at OST Cafe this week. The barista, David was energetic, warm, and technically skilled. Will definitely come back again!

I love this place. Coffee and service is amazing. They have this one really good looking barista. I think he's an actor or a musician maybe?

Just finished up a lovely morning at Ost. Used to come here every morning when I lived in LES. Coming back from Denver was such a nice homecoming. David really added to the vibe and appreciated his kindness. Can't wait to come back next time and reminisce. Highly recommend for anyone looking to work, chill, or just enjoy a great cup of coffee.

Ost is a very nice little coffee shop on an otherwise crummy block on the lower east side. The man who works in the mornings named Luke is always very friendly and the coffee is good. The young man who during the day named Dave is the reason I signed up for Yelp and am leaving a two star review. This coffee shop is rather small and it always has nice music playing in it, but Dave is the loudest person I have ever heard in my entire life. He seems to have no control over the volume of his voice and addresses every single person who comes in to order as loudly as possible. He does not seem to understand that people want a quiet experience in a coffee shop and not hear stories about his famous aunt, or whatever nonsense, he feels like talking about. I have repeatedly tried to work inside the shop, but it is simply impossible because Dave is so loud. Last time I was there, he was singing along with the music very loudly and having a 20 minute conversation with a friend. I looked at the two people next to me who were also trying to work and they looked visibly upset, but no one said anything. If it was possible to enjoy this lovely little shop, I would give it a much higher review. as is, I cannot recommend anyone go there unless you are getting a coffee to go or you do not mind having someone's dominate every second you are in there.
